It's nice to have the option to be a hooligan, even if 99% of the time you don't.
That 1% greasy, fumbled wet roundabout slide that makes you feel like Walter Rohrl is worth it though. Every time.
Yeah that'll be it. It's unlikely that they'll develop a flash for a model they don't get, or at least less likely.
Strange that they never got a 335 Touring, although not surprising given how badly the 335d sold in the US in E90 form.
You can remap all the autos, regardless of model year/pre-LCI or LCI etc. They're all variants of the ZF 6HP.
I've got a Stage 2 XHP flash on mine, it's made more of a difference than the engine map! One of the best things you can do to an E9x.
Sounds normal to me, that. 35ds are known for it a bit more, even when driving because of the way the high pressure (small) turbo feeds the low (big)
I wouldn't worry about that. Everything around the turbo dry? No oil from the feed near the top? Lines okay?
Only two BMWs? A mere shell of the Dave we used to know. 😆
Like you say, OE Piano trim is mega money and most wrapped ones look shite. What about grey poplar? Also as rare but it suits the lighter leathers IMO.
I have Fine Aluminium so it doesn't have the cube texture, shame the centre is a...
Also I got to mention the vacuum lines/modules, they could be an issue on older models now. They give the same symptoms as a duff turbo but are actually really cheap to replace, just quite fiddly. The old rubber lines get brittle with ages are create leaks, causing the actuator/s to not work or...
Nice that, being pre-LCI at that age it'll be M57 rather than N57. Much better, same lump as I have minus the second turbo.
Lovely cars and a few mods can really update them. Rear spacers are a must on pre-LCIs, since the LCI (mine) has a 24mm wider rear track. 12mm a side.
With decent...
V70s are awesome cars but I wouldn't be looking at sub-£2k examples personally. For the same reasons that I wouldn't look at £2k E9x models.
I'd say that you've got a pretty good deal going now with the Fabia, especially after sinking the service/rack money into it. Just keep that?
Nice! Rare to find a factor manual one too. 1J goodness.
They sound about 300% faster than they are as standard though, get that side mount binned and a proper FMIC. Wind the boost up
This. Harry's a legend.
I met him in Bournemouth of all places a few years back before he sold EVO off. Such a down to earth guy too, he was with his Son in the Trophy.
Yaaaas! Saw on PH and thought you'd have posted on here too. That's lovely! You've got to love how subtle they are for the performance. No chance I'd sell mine now.
LCI but pre-LCI paddles? Weird. Is that an early LCI thing?
