We sold the cage to Dave and it fitted in his Trophy unfitted for transporting home... Iirc when fitting it in our 182 we had one front seat out to get it in - it's quite tight especially with Recaro's as they don't go as far forward as standard seats / seat back is wider and higher if that...
It's something you grow used to having and in some cars they're pointless, in a Z they're damn useful.
Low seating position and crap sized mirrors, plus wind deflector fitted = see bugger all.
With the shape of the car and in particular the rear flanks, with the hood up you can see very little. Parking sensors are pretty much essential on this car as the mirrors don't help much either.
Sit in the drivers seat with the hood up and all will become apparent.
Definitely... interior alone puts the Z4 to shame.
Slightly down on power versus the 3.0 but not massively noticeable in day to day driving... and a remap could sort that :)
Oops, missed off that its a 2.0TFSi :)
Colour combination is great, we viewed a identical grey locally but with black leather then found this and left a deposit and bought one way train tickets to go and collect it
So following the short lived ownership of the Z4, we ended up using the insurance settlement to purchase something slightly different, but still with 2 seats and no roof :)
Picked up this Dolphin Grey with extended Magma Red leather TT after 3 trains and a good few hours travelling to...
Buy from dealer, run a few months and part ex at dealers for next car. Do that a couple of times and even the wisest buyer will lose a few quid on each deal buying that way. With the RS6 no matter how cheap it was bought if you're asking £9k and getting offers of £5-6k that's quite a hit
£750...
Never sure why you'd buy something knowing you're not keeping it, granted its less likely to break than an old RS6 but still seems like you must be dropping money on each car... I love ASBO's, the other half would only have one if it was Grey or Blue though :(
Where did you stay Rob?
Looking to book a last minute holiday and Cape Verde has been suggested... Hotels seem good review wise too and tempted as its not Sharm!
Amie ;) hehe
Thanks, sadly not a TTS as they were £3-4k out of budget for us. It's a 2.0 TFSi, but seems to have quite a few options including BOSE, extended leather, sport suspension possibly as it looks lower than others. Plus 6 CD changer, auto lights/wipers and folding mirrors. Bar Sat Nav...
Drive the road twice daily as its the main road out of our village, but yes it's not something you forget for a while!
Yeah wasn't something we thought about, but with hindsight not sure if that would have made matters worse with the cars going round the roundabout. Things happen so quickly...
So, errrrm, yeah. The ownership of this little beasty turned out to be very short lived... When we bought the car it had noisy brakes, very noisy brakes in fact as soon as the they had been applied once. Once warm they almost appeared to be binding on. The chap we bought the car from had just...
