Due to a change in personal circumstances, car #2 is regrettably up for sale. I know I'll kick myself when it goes, but since changing jobs, I've taken a £400 a month cut, and it's really hit me hard.

No idea what happened in regards to the comments, presume someone complained or the likes.
I'm organisging a Brecon/Black Mountain on May 1st if you're available at that date by any chance. Admittedly it's not in the next two weeks, but, if you'd like to attend you're more than welcomed.
£550 Andrew.
I had previously been quoted by him. He can supply you the parts, but from a Wolverhampton dealer at £360 I believe? But you can get them a little cheaper from Paul Temperton via Facebook last time I checked. He charges £200+VAT for the labour, so £240 plus parts. Hope this...
It's down at Tech-1 now, has possibly sourced a bottom end but won't be finished for about 2 weeks or so. Sounds promising, I'll keep the thread updated!
I think you may have got yourself slightly confused there lol.
This is a mates car.
225 (standard, melted, internals)
250 turbo
Front mount
630cc injectors
Decat
Filter etc
Once he's got her all sorted and running that's what he'll be doing. :)
Paul@Tech1 mentioned he won't really see too much of a difference in dropping the torque. Imo it'll make it much more drive-able as well, I walk all over him from a standstill because he struggled to put the power down...
She's kaput.
News from the garage itself have said that a con rod has bent and rubbed on the block, then proceeded to take out the block scoring a piston.
Basically from what he's said next, he needs an entire bottom end (he's already on the case). Apparently this was due to after the...
My favourite kind of photo! :tongueout:
I occasionally give it some beans coming back and forth from work (purposely go the longer route just to hit the B roads), and I do really love the car, even on bad tyres! I think I'm more leaning towards refreshing the belts/dephaser as it's due, then...
It won't quite be £600 (I've been quoted £575 for the entire job lot before, ex Renault master tech+specialist)
But, yes it will cost a few hundred more than likely.
As above!
That's the pain of the cars service work, really bummed the previous owner didn't replace it all in one whack.
Ideally perfect for someone that can change the bits themselves and save labour.
On both eBay and Gumtree.

It's stinking.
Picked up the Mrs from work, decided to go down the country lanes didn't I. The worst part? I was playing fuel light roulette, so I didn't even enjoy the lanes!
Yes mate, I'm just feeling as though I want to dive into something different.
No problem buddy.
Thanks mate.
The issue still stands that I'm uncertain though, there's part of me that knows full well I'll miss this car.
So if anyone had noticed, I've put this 'up for sale' in the CS section. I haven't advertised it anywhere else, as I'm just keen to see what sort of feedback I get from people who either know about this car, or know about 1*2's in general. I'm not ready to put it up on Gumtree/Facebook, for...
I'll have to give Nick a shout, thanks for the heads up Dan! For the foreseeable future I'll run oem mounts in the meantime, will be a little comfier too on our roads!
I'm doing better now I've had some news! Cv boot replaced, track rod end replaced, all that's left is to inspect the strut...
Bad news, but somewhat good news.
Nothing drastic by all means, but one of my Solid top mounts somehow has gained some play in it, which has baffled me.
The exhaust is sorted, it had a blow which is fixed and it failed due to a decat (wink, it's fine now)... The washer was just empty lol...
On our way back from Folly Farm, me and the Mrs hit traffic and one lane was closed off. Saw a 3 series with lights flashing so thought 'oh get the camera setup'! As I got closer I saw a woman being searched, too good an opportunity to miss.
