The end of that was quite scary to be honest, I thought she was going to get trapped under the car. From the way the wheels were spinning she was booting it too!
As far as special editions go, the Williams and the Trophy were exceptional because they were developed/engineered with a mechanical purpose. To be the best handling hatches of their time.
These new ones are just the same as the Gordini SEs, just a few options ticked but missing that bespoke...
That sounds rather cheap. Do you know if NVS are competent to do this work?
Cambelt and auxiliary belt kits alone will make up a fair part of that price and do they have the timing tools (which are over a hundred quid on top)?
Also, you should be getting the auxiliary belt and tensioners(?)...
Bit of a generalisation! Prices have started falling because many of these have had 4/5/6 owners in 5 years and are in awful condition, missing splitters, in one case missing Recaros, modified, Cat. C/D, repainted etc. and no-one wants to pay big money for that together with the "well I can get...
Well you are correct. The problem is that when looking at prices, everyone looks at the lowest common denominator i.e. the cheapest cars.
They are often cheap for a reason, 8 years old with about 6/7 owners, heavily modified etc. and therefore don't attract buyers.
I don't see why anyone would...
Yes, you have been a member on here for over two years. Why go to Kwik Fit for anything? They are truly and utterly dreadful.
Your best bet is probably to get a refund and take it to A-Line in Dudley or Pro Tyre in Warwick. Both will get it right first time.
I had this sort of issue with a...
The CSC3 and 5 are rated as pretty much the best you can get now. Funnily enough, I had CSC3 from the factory wtih a company Audi A3 I had and after 12 months, they were changed to P Zeros and I have to say, I preferred the Contis.
Also bear in mind that opinion on a tyre will depend upon the...
No offence but have you got some money you need to get rid of? Why do you think the P Zeros will be better than the staggeringly good CSC3 (or have you got CSC5, even better)?
Do you not like the way it drives on the CSs?
Maybe we are getting our wires crossed a bit. I assume you mean the scum that stole your car hit another car, whose owner then claimed against your policy(?)
Surely what should have happened is that your insurer when contacted should have said, there was no cover in place as the car was stolen...
So contact the insurer (by phone and in writing) and ask them why the hell they have entertained this claim seeing as you, the insured, were not in the car, it was taken without your consent etc. Ask to speak to a manager, get a name and then bother them enough that they do something about it...
So the thieves who stole your car had the benefit of your insurance policy?! Nah, that's not right.
They were an uninsured/untraceable driver and the other side should have claimed from the MIB.
A thief cannot have a contractual relationship with your insurer - that's between you and your insurer.
Sorry if I sounded a bit short!
The point of my post was that it is important to replace the cover and being Renault, bear in mind it is usually worse than £10. A lot worse.
They're not Speedline Turinis.
I remember a post about these once before where someone had posted a link to a Renault catalogue.
I believe they are a Renault O.Z. Superturismo. Not sure whether they were an option or what model they came on.
The best bit of advice you'll get.
There are specialists dotted all over the UK. Tell them you've bought a car that you want looked at for belts, plugs, general checkover.
They may charge a couple of hours of their time, maybe £100 but if they can confirm the cambelt has been changed and the...
I reckon the trader knows it by now after calls/viewings! Looks like a Cliotrophy.net member owned car. It may be there a while that one.
I agree with the point about the Trendlines. The seating position generally isn't great but I'm not a big fan of them.
The Recaros in the 197/200 look a...
Blimey, maybe stored away then. Sounds OK to be honest, just get the belts and a good service done and enjoy.
That's a lot of fun and daily useability for the money.
You know you can get the MOT history from 2005 onwards online? It provides info on where tested, mileage and advisories.
It would be a good start to building the history file.
