I was using elf and changing it after each trackday but noticed it was going black and probably breaking down due to the heat, I changed to the gulf and that is fine even after a few trackdays, I would rather spend a little more on oil that can work at high temps.
I run a oil cooler and temps...
I use Gulf competition, good price and even after a couple of trackdays when drained it still comes out a golden colour.

This is the glue I used because it is high temp...
It is not that bad of a job, the hardest bit is getting the lining out of the car.
I did mine on my track car cost about £25, 3 cans of high temp adhesive and a couple of metres of faux suede off ebay.
Just take your time, when spraying the glue do it in small sections don't try and do it all in...
That sounds good so they come direct from GAZ and any issue in 2 years just contact them direct?
Just curious how much extra is the external reservoir option for the fronts?
Thanks, would it make any difference if it was done by a bodyshop and would they be able to get a close match with the paint, or would it just end up going like that again?
I have my roof scoop painted with rattle cans Hycote white primer Hycote florescent orange and a acrylic lacquer but after a couple of years it looks like a tortoise shell, all my badges and mirrors are painted the same way and they are fine so I assume it is the fibreglass.
The paint or paint...
Thanks mate we could always swop engines lol
Anglesey is good but don't think I would do it again unles the car was trailered as it is a long way.
I am always taking coolant with me from now on, just hope I never need it.
Not much done to the car just maintenance.
After replacing all the coolant hoses to silicone ones a few months ago I used some nice looking mikalor type clamps but after going to Anglesey in May for the Renault Sport track day I soon learnt it was a mistake.
I went out about 4 times in the...
I used to use dunlops but went to 888's because they were quite a bit cheaper but now all the prices are going up I may just go back to Dunlop as it will only work out about £40 more expensive.
I wanted to try the AR1 should have brought some when they were under £300.
At home I have 3 of these Cocraft bottom boxes and 2 top boxes and for the money they are great, gas ram lid ball bearing draws really good quality, they normally have a code for 10% off and a couple of times a year it's buy the bottom box get the top free with 10% off...
With the cage you don't really see them.
It is not really noticeable and much better than the standard color that stood out like a sore thumb, the flocked dash and A pillars etc never photograph the right color, and the roof it depends on which way it is brushed/ wiped as one way looks darker...
Thanks
I do like the painted roof but don't know if I could live with the condensation dripping on me, at least it is a easy option now if I want to switch to it.
A couple more updates over the bank holiday I got a quote for powder coating the cage orange and when they said £40 I was back home in half hour taking the cage out and dropping it off to them.
While the cage was being done I took the roof lining out and then started removing all the bonding...
You don't have much luck with trackdays do you Martin but at least you caught it early, looking at some of the photos it could have been a lot worse.
Just curious did the AA or RAC collect your car or did you trailer it there?
Like the windows but you will be needing a roof scoop now
