Yeah I wasn't best pleased mate. I was just going to leave it and walk home, but it was pissing it down and would of also been a pain pushing it round the workshop this morning.
I like your idea on the free cleaning though James, good shout!
Oh what fun I've had this evening!
I received my gear shifter today, and went to fit it after work this evening.
Unfortunately I ran into a problem and only realised there was a fault with the shifter when I'd already removed the old one!
If you look at the photo, on the left hand side of the...
Looking good mate!
They do look good in silver!
Interesting following your project, as power wise that's exactly what i'm after. Next on the shopping list is injectors, intercooler, and decat!
Haha! Don't tempt me mate! There's a few other things I would like to do prior to any mapping intercooler etc, but I will definatly be taking it to RSTuning for the mapping.
What tyres did you have fitted to your R26 when you were at Blyton bud? I've got Michelin PS4's at the moment and I know...
Apart from a Milltek Exhaust and a KTR Intake, for this track day at least... Power wise it's pretty much standard. So nowhere near as powerful as yours!
My Trophy did have a Quaife fitted which was the best thing I ever did to that car, even over the supercharger. So I'm hopeful the R26 will...
Cheers mate, It's getting there!
I've heard good things, and really am looking forward to getting out on track! As for the mods it's great to start a new project again, there's so much I want to do!
Morning and Afternoon session booked in the R26.
After nearly a month of ownership a track day will be a great way to get used to the car and see how it performs.
I'll have to try and not compare it to the Trophy!
Looking forward to seeing everyone, and they're cars! It's always a great...
It's a lot of fun! Much like the quaife I had in my Trophy, but much like the Trophy you really have to drive like an utter loon on the road to notice it.
So I'm keen to see how it feels out on track!
As for the Recaro's they feel great and if I'm honest they're a much better fit in the R26...
That's promising news James! Once received I will try and fit one evening after work this week.
The more I've driven the Meg the exhaust sounds better, and better I put that down to carbon build up within the pipework? All being well I will get a de-cat pipe ordered next month, but I'm not sure...
Cheers bud, I'm really pleased with it! Went out for a good blast yesterday and the Meg didn't disappoint!
I've ordered a new gear actuator, which has been modified for a shorter throw to Improve the gear selection. Although now that I've gotten used to it I haven't had any problems!
Only...
If I'm not working... (which I'm always doing on Saturday's) id love to come and see if the R26 is a lol good!
P.S I've forgotten what 'Friday feeling's is! [emoji23]

I didn't say:
'don't buy an immaculate Spec C Type RA that is in better condition than when it rolled off the production line!' [emoji6]

I know mate I am very crap! I wish I could be more detailed like your project thread, but I just get carried away and before you know it there's the finished result! [emoji23]
Thanks Gus! [emoji5]

I've made a fair bit of progress this evening!
Milltek exhaust fitted, which has given the car a much more purposeful sound. It's only cat back for the time being but I'm looking forward to hearing the results of a decat pipe!
Also fitted this evening was a KTR induction kit coupled with their...
I know... [emoji30]
I hope so James! I'll take it for a drive later after I've fitted the Milltek!
Let's hope they're all like that!
Window regulator's seems to behaving themselves at the moment! But I know how fragile they are.
As for the hubs they have been replaced which was a bug selling...
Cheers guys! I've fixed it!
I remember Lee saying he replaced the gear gaiter recently.
So stripped it down and found the plastic shaft not positioned correctly and it had jammed the lift up.
Now refitted it's working perfectly!

That's great news mate!
I'm heading up on the Friday though. Leaving basingstoke at midday!
Ah they well look much better against the black paintwork. Especially as a very inconsiderate spider has decided to die inside my offside headlamp and is properly wedged in there! [emoji23]
I'm not...
I agree mate. I'm glad this one already has the R spoiler as it would of been an essential purchase!
Haha! Many apologies Megane Master! [emoji6] when you mention the R26R headlamps are they the black insert xenon units?
I wasn't sure what exhaust to go for, but I can get hold of Milltek...
Cheers mate. I think you're right!
That was a lovely car, and so was that supercharged Saxo you had!
Ah well, you know what they say about hindsight...
As good as they look on yours bud, they are probably a step in wrong direction for mine! [emoji23]
I'd love a set of R26R wheels though, in...
Cheers mate. I was also surprised on how good the car looks for it's mileage.
It would of been nice to of gotten a car with a few less miles, but I'm hoping it's thorough maintenance will counter act this.
There's seems to be a few Megane's on the forum, with well over 100k being used as...
That makes sense, he said he did vehicle upholstery.
Thanks mate, among many guides online, forums etc I found this one on Pistonheads to be helpful.
