Assetto Corsa makes me chunder in short order.
Doing flips and s**t in Flight Simulator? No problem.
Getting solid 80fps in Assetto. FS I could be down to 30-40fps and still not be queasy, so I feel like it’s motion or something. Any tips?
Okay so flying in VR is bloody epic. I can literally stand next to a T45 Goshawk, step into the cockpit and sit in the pilot's seat (my sim rig), look around the cockpit firing everything up, then taxi to the runway and take off, and when you're flying a fighter jet where you can look right out...
Accidentally bought a Rift S today. Wish I'd done it sooner.
Admittedly most of the stuff I play is sat down - Assetto and Flight Sim 2020 atm, but what an experience in both. Really cool. You forget that it's not just head tracking, but properly 3D too.
I’ve not used one personally but I do know those are a lot easier to use.
I can’t believe I just paid £110 to buy Microsoft Flight Simulator so I could fly over my house to find that it’s apparently a factory. Ffs
I haven’t a fooking clue how to use the editor to make actual missions but it’s brilliant for setting up little skirmishes etc then trying not to die. The campaign’s pretty good.
Ffs. Coolant return hose is a completely different size - everything else is the same. Got to the last possible moment before I realised too.
something like 18mm id instead of 10mm.
Christ, hell hath frozen over. Sharky's trophy runs, drives and is bloody beautiful car. I'm honestly so, so happy to see this car finally finished. Congratulations!
I bet you're driving it every 5 minutes.
Nope, it's literally just for the isofix, and whilst it does have two loops in the boot to allow you to strap stuff down, it doesn't have any other function.
Just done a test with my laptop, 3060 non Q, 1080p in a 2 car race at Cadwell with 4096 res reflections, all the fancy visual stuff such as raytracing and FSR on, 170fps.
I am a HEAVY Assetto enthusiast, lol. No problems on my 3060. The latest custom shaders patch incorporates FidelityFX Super Resolution which is enough to comfortably sit at 120-140fps at 1080p.
I mean it depends. It’s not going to beat a desktop but realistically for most cases a decent 3060/3070 laptop will still play most titles very well indeed.
I love old 911s. Such pretty cars.
The fact you have your perfectionist hands on one gives me the heebie jeebies. 'Things I'd love to do: Spend an inordinate amount of money completely nut and bolt restoring a 911'. Sadly I totally lack both the time and money to do so.
Big updates in the Custom Shaders Patch Patreon build.
Top ticket item is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution - much like Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling, it renders the game at a lower resolution then upscales it to the display resolution using AI to fill in the missing detail, giving the...
They're like rocking horse s**t it seems. I love the DOHC TURBO on one side, and FULL TIME 4WD on the other. Just in case anyone didn't know it was turbooooo.
No pics because I was driving, but yesterday I saw an absolute beauty of a Mazda 323 Turbo 4x4, minty mint and in this silver;
(Possibly that car actually)
Rare homologation special, only 500 built and 10 left on the road. Had to roll down the window and compliment the guy at the lights...
