Just been out in it and the intercooler appears to be working properly, intake temps are the same as before. Winner!

Hopefully yeah, I think it becomes more of an issue if you apply loads of coats of paint, i.e repainting it after it's gotten chipped.

Decided to spray my FMIC black, I've always wanted to do it but was a little worried about it effecting the cooling properties of the intercooler, guess time will only tell if it does. Front bumper and intercooler off again, hate taking the front bumper off as it's a right pain in the arse...

The old R-Sport ECU had the 7.8k limiter, also I think the old RSTuner maps did. Generic maps are set at 7.5k nowadays though IIRC.

Various things could cause the car to not have the "5k kick" Usual one is the fact the car has been previously mapped.
