This is what I found when refurbing my ast rears.

Off the top of my head you have 2 either side of boot, 3 along dash support bar, 1 in scuttle panel and 4 engine bay earths.

I can't see it being a big job when stripping my track car I just disconnected the 2 hoses in the bay pulled back the 4-5 clips holding it in and pulled it out. That was while the dash was in too.

Surprising really they must have big balls considering one wrong move and your rather going to be in a box or life support for a long time :/

I'm still wound up about that f**king jobs worth although was a epic day some great racing some arse clenching moments and a tear shed when that astra came to rest on the tyre wall :( Also the gaps that were seen today. Pfffft enough to die for.

They will be fine mate.. Knob off with a small Allen key then the old top hat then fit rest in the order you have them laid out :)

Unfortunately for James he did not intend to do this and was a mishap due to a cracked gearbox casing resulting in the tyres being covered in oil and lose of gearing therefore couldn't slow down in time due to lose of engine breaking and locking up into the corner. I'm sure James will explain...

A similar thing can also happen to the ast's will upload pictures when I get to the garage!

Couldn't you just undo the feed to the engine and use the pump to pump it out..
