Machine the face of the top and rocker cover to close up journals and then line bore through. I can put you in touch with someone who can probably do it but it's not quick or cheap
Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
Great result :) I'm sure Andy is the same as me and the reliability is more important to him that pub figures. Mines similar spec on same dyno did 209bhp :)
The man at Opie laughed at me when I told him I’d used B373 in a gearbox lol, I just remember how bad Porkies box was at the Ring/Spa after running on it!
Agreed but I was never doubting that anyway :)
Using oil the diff likes gave me 2 hours track time, Using oil the syncro’s like gripper assure me doesn’t affect plate life just makes them noisier but they’ve even combated that by a change in the design of the plates. As I said before spec the oil for the box not the diff as Gripper have said.
Also spec the oil to look after the box rather than the diff is what gripper have always told me. I ran B373 on a few peoples recommendation and it fooked the box in no time.
I then either would run castrol syntrans or more preferably the Fuchs stuff
Thats the trackday I was there for on the Monday! What car were you in? We only arrived at 11ish and set off back to the UK at 4ish was a quick visit but really enjoyed it as per :)
Thanks :) More time to come through Eau Rouge, Pohoun and the braking zones I think.
Doh! Watched it at The La Source Hotel! Were you there for the trackday then?
Got a lap from the swifts at the Ring on Saturday. Was my 17th lap round there. We went quicker in the afternoon but Gopro battery...
A couple of laps from Spa, by no means perfect but was just a trackday and having some fun, these were my first 2 dryish laps of the day :)

Thanks Kenny, Yes if I went down the route of full pedal box I’d go Tilton or AP. Seems a shame to have to make a big change just to add hydraulic clutch although ultimately a proper pedal box would be good.
Thanks Tony will do :)
Are you offering yours ;)
Thanks I thought I had heard of a...
Thanks chaps :) Car’s is looking okay other than unwrapped front bumper but just in the process of designing a full livery change!
Yes fabulous circuit one of my favourites, As Lee says he has it at the moment as his had a bearing problem but either way i’m afraid it won’t be for sale as its a...
Was at Spa today and it started off horribly wet but dried out really nicely so bolted some new tyres on and the car was just amazing yet again :) so happy with it at the moment!
Dogbox worked faultlessly albeit slightly shorted geared than I remember but I can look at that on the data.
Will...
Ended up putting the Clio back together late last week in a desperate rush to get it done for this weekend. Managed it after lots of late nights and chose to take it to the Ring and Spa as the forecast looked poo and the Clio is good in the wet :)
We hired some swifts for the Ring today and...
Nothing to really update on I'm afraid Andrew!
Been really busy lately so after taking the other engine and box out of mine ready to build the new one just haven't had time to build it. I've got all the bits for it just need to get the machining work done and assemble it.
I'm in 2 minds...
If going for a sequential I'd avoid going for the STDSA the ST75 is a much better and stronger box (mainly came in the euro Clio cups)
That box seems cheap which probably only means one thing... It has something wrong or is a ticking time bomb.
An average service from SWR on that box will...
Yes very true! Thanks it was a choice rushed on me over the weekend when my other half wrote off the E92 :( Yes fully agree with you from recent experience so I didn’t even bother looking at the others
I’m sure it could be arranged it certainly drifts better than the last one ;)
What is it with the new BM’s and no character? I’ve just swapped to an F11 535D from my E92 and its an amazing car at doing everything other than being engaging
You got the Renault bolts for the crank sensor? Fairly specific as the shank is bigger than the thread to set the sensor at the correct height from the flywheel? Didn't think about it earlier
Why not buy a Jenvey ITB kit from Jenvey £1300 from memory, Get RS-Tuning/SJM etc to fit a Typhoon ECU and Map it. You will end up with a better kit, better performance and probably cost the same if not less.
