There's not really any point in touching the engine as you have to spend a lot of money to extract any horsepower out of the thing. The best way to invest your money is in suspension, braking and tyre components. Although to be honest, they are already brilliant out of the box.
Can you speak to players that are around you then? Does it get easier to get your head around the more you play it? i.e I died a load of times, and also had no idea what order to combine things to craft them. IT's actually quite difficult!
I'm a bit late to the party with this, but I played the demo last night.
It's really difficult to get your head around at first, and I found surviving my first night really really difficult. Especially as the demo world seems so sparse.
I am debating whether it's worth paying the £17 for the...
You can spec it to the ring car. The car is also delivered with the exact same suspension set up as was used to set the record at the ring as well.

That won't be the case - All production has been allocated to each country. Production stops in March 2015 and the production line begins tooling up for the New Megane AFAIK. This is the Megane's final farewell.
EDIT: To add, yes it is a marketing excersise to a degree, but it's also to prove...
So I recently got rid of this:
And picked up this:
I am toying with the idea of picking up a Megane 265 in Mercury silver with cup pack and Recaro's next, but I need to sit down and have a think about running costs.
Clio was a great car. Wish i'd gone for the higher spec one with the arm...
It's the most focused Megane you can buy Mark. The ultimate Megane. That in its self commands a premium.
Lots of manufacturers do it. Look at Porsche with their GT3. They remove lots of bits, make it lighter, charge 20-30k more for it. Yes I know Porsche are completely different to Renault, but...
We're re-doing reps when we move over to the new forum.
