If you are worried about hurting your engine, how do you drive it when you don't want to take it easy? They only get going at over 5k rpm? I can understand not wanting to dump the clutch at 5k rpm to start but you can thrash these all day.
Use some electrical tape to stop the wires hanging down under the seat. If loose wires are the cause then thats a 2 minute job and the light will go off.
Ask your local car garGe to source a second hand wiper mechanism and arms from a breakers. Should be loads of old clios.
Tyres for these are...
I had a full system from prospeed and the system made a great difference noise wise from stock. The problem being that the stock exhaust is very good from renault, just rusted to bits and a new one was double the price of prospeed. Some say prospeed are rubbish, others highly rate them. There...
Sports cats are 200 cell iirc. Help with better flow but reduce the back pressure from the standard exhaust. I have a prospeed with 200 cell and it definately smoothed out the pull at 5250rpm. Performance increase is going to be very minimal tbh. A decat does sound better but that is imo and...
Tough choice as the teg is supposed to be a cracking car if spot on. Both cars have the fun factor about them in their own ways.
The Trophy dampers can be refurbished for less than 500 now as cornering force have been used, which under cut BG. There is an owner on the Trophy forum that even...
Gutted for you mate after all of the effort! Did I see your car on the wed 18th in Aberdare sobell leisure centre? If not there is a Trophy replica running about down here too!
Got my MOT tomorrow and need two front springs fitted and a rear ABS sensor fitted.
Roughly how long would these take to fit as trying to work out how long my mechanic is likely to have my car for?
Also need to start learning how to do stuff like this myself, as well as learning how to do...
I think the Clio Trophy will be a classic as it is one hell of a hot hatch. But I can't see them being worth a lot tbh. Maybe low low milage ones will get to 10k but that's it. A few low ones for sale at around the 7-8k mark now but can't see them selling for that. Possibly in a good few years...
A few Trophy owners I have spoken to got theirs for around 14k. Immense deal imo as the dampers are around 3.5k and the recaros 1.5k+! Compare the prices to what a fiesta st costs and they were a cracking buy back then!
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 K120 - got a pair fitted for £75 each today. Seemed like a deal too good to turn down as the older tyre was rated quite highly. Also I saved £15 over blackcircles, which was great as their prices are very good usually. Anyone run these? I know they are new but don't know...
How am I ruining his thread exactly? If anything I was backing him up over your post of them 'not being that quick'. But yeah if i have offended I apologise as it was just a little disagreement. I love both cars for what they are.
They are still around 230bhp per tonne. 1658kg to be exact. The tt being around 160bhp per tonne (in standard form). Miles apart. The stock tt is no quicker than the clio.
On some laps on the video it looks rapid like the right turn going up the ramp. Dive in at the apex and the kart flies out!lol. LSD?lol.
I really want to have a cam too but funds won't allow atm.
