Do you actually know it is terminal yet? It is quite common for them to blow a plug out and strip the threads but no other damage. You can normally get the thread repaired with head in place.

My ds2500 went like that after a race. Not had any problems with the ds3000 though.

Just for all you guys saying it is too much. 14.5k (That is how much they were isn't it?) for a 182 in 2004 is almost 19k in today's money (corrected for inflation).

A failed CTS would affect all cylinders equally and it may cause over fuelling depending on how it fails. How can you know there is no power to the cts if you have not measured the voltage across it?

Did you remove the engine prior to this problem? I'd say you need something like an rs tuner so you can see what value the ecu is seeing from the CTS (coolant temp sensor).

Nice bush. It sounds like you need to plug in some diagnostic equipment. Is the coolant temp sensor connected properly?

I think Renault have a special tool that allows them to attach a slide hammer to them. Can send you the pdf if you let me know your e-mail.

What model is it? Mine was a bolt in, so came in 2 parts pre-welded. The front and rear section are bolted together with a sleeve and plates welded on the floor to bolt through. The platforms on mine are about 4" high so you might be able to get in there with the welder... Here is what mine...

I have the OMP cage. Is yours a dash dodger, the later ones aren't. IIRC I even had to remove the steering column to get mine in. Mine is the later one.

I would plug an ODB reader in and see what it says. Those lights can come on for various faults.

Looking good Kenny. You bought some hinges from Renault for your doors didn't you IIRC. They have a pin with a screw thread on the end? Did they just fit into the std mounting on the shell or did you get a new bit for that part of the hinge as well? Reason I ask is one of my donor doors had...

My 182 on 122k is just starting to make noise. My 172 cup got to 137k with no noise.

Depends where you're doing it. Round my way 172/182 on std suspension is fine. I use my 182. Can be bumpy but depends on the organiser really.
