Do you actually know it is terminal yet?
It is quite common for them to blow a plug out and strip the threads but no other damage.
You can normally get the thread repaired with head in place.
You beat me to them lol. I knew if I dithered long enough you would save me the money ;)
I suppose I ought to build my car before buying any more bits.
Just for all you guys saying it is too much.
14.5k (That is how much they were isn't it?) for a 182 in 2004 is almost 19k in today's money (corrected for inflation).
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
I will do mate.
Racecar has not really been touched since the last time I saw you lol.
Planning on cracking on with it in January, been decorating this month. Defo racing next year, don't have a plan yet.
A failed CTS would affect all cylinders equally and it may cause over fuelling depending on how it fails.
How can you know there is no power to the cts if you have not measured the voltage across it?
Did you remove the engine prior to this problem?
I'd say you need something like an rs tuner so you can see what value the ecu is seeing from the CTS (coolant temp sensor).
What model is it? Mine was a bolt in, so came in 2 parts pre-welded. The front and rear section are bolted together with a sleeve and plates welded on the floor to bolt through.
The platforms on mine are about 4" high so you might be able to get in there with the welder...
Here is what mine...
I have the OMP cage.
Is yours a dash dodger, the later ones aren't.
IIRC I even had to remove the steering column to get mine in. Mine is the later one.

Looks more like 10mm.
Looking at what they have done with other parts it may not be cup related and may just be that from a certain point they switched for all 1*2.
Looking good Kenny.
You bought some hinges from Renault for your doors didn't you IIRC. They have a pin with a screw thread on the end?
Did they just fit into the std mounting on the shell or did you get a new bit for that part of the hinge as well? Reason I ask is one of my donor doors had...
