So a really productive day and a half.
Yesterday evening after work was spent with a mate cleaning the engine bay and engine and getting that ready to paint... christ what a nightmare it is cleaning and degreasing a block!
Some beforw shots...
During...
And the finished...
Yeah i stumbled across yours ages ago! Thats the biggest thing with these conversions is the box!

I also went a step further and bought an internal fuel tank... ffs

@Tomo3292 I will go through an individual supply with my own loom as it seem to work perfectly on the BG.
Earth will just be earth probably where the standard earth is (above washer bottle)
The fast wire and slow wire connected to an on off on switch, then up can be fast, down can be slow...
Do yah like the blowers on your feet going round track there lad ;)
Bit of reused plastic, bit if sealent, bit of gorilla tape, loops straight into the windscreen part! Ooosh

So im struggling on proper things to do as the clio engine is taking up to much space in the garage to get the meg engine out aswell.
I turned my attention to the interior, my first issue was heat/demisting issue - in the 182 i had a heated windscreen which was awesoke and worked perfectly...
Think I'll go for a swirl pot, the push on fittings ones are pretty cheap from obp, theres a cheap kit from china using jic fittings for £74 for hose aswell, but Im not sure how much trust the fittings and the hose will be s**t and smell!

Yeah that was my thoughts to drill and tap the return, is it actually connected to the sender unit this bowl? Cant picture it.
Yeah need to source some injectors soon, but cheers ill go with tthat pump, maybe see if there is a swirl pot going cheap haha

Cheers for that - think Ive sourced one of ktecs prototype rails that they use with fuel reg in the rail and a return.
Reckon ill source 250 inlet mani also to be able to use a a clio throttle body, save me swapping over the wiring from 225 throttle body the clio loom.
What do you reckon...
Haha wed have much more fun when it was NA ;)
Anddd got a day at combe booked nov 4th :) then i wannt go to snetterton after that!

How do you mean mofs for the fuel rail mate?
Yeah that sounds good, i was gonna use an external one but that sounds better!
Clutch and flywheel will be standard for the moment with a gripper, budget doesnt allow me to go crazy yet and i wont be seeing over 300lbft anyway. But eventually...
Wiring for me shouldnt be to hard at all, it'll be a case of swapping some plugs over to megane plugs and thats about it - using a clio loom and standalone ecu should half the ballache!
Cheers mike, haha it isnt to bad really like most thing when you get your head round it all

Anyway good day today, wasnt a good day to choose to be in a small space cutting and welding but a big thanks to a mate Alex who sorted out the welding for me.
Ran out of time In the end to finish the dogbone mount, but we got the engine in and sat on the gearbox mount and original engine...
Coupe is a trooper! And Ive never liked the dash dodger when ive got some money behind me again I'll sell it and get another one.

Engines out!
Interior has been stripped, came across a problem with the dash dodger, its actually no good to get the dash out...
So I ended up cutting it in half... hopefully to be hidden by a fiberglass dash pod which will join the two pieces together..
Picked up the 225 engine and...
Shes home, went out for a quick spin before i started removing the engine it was good fun tbh the noise of the bodies Is very moorish!
The driving position is horrendous compared to my other car, which can be sorted with some column movement and hopefully theres some slack in the megane...
Had the budget in most things you could really go to town on it haha
Yeah got to see how she drives or I get on with over 100bhp more, should be good!
And that could work

So this is the list I've been working on, pretty sure Ive covered everything I need to buy, few engine mount things that arnt listed as they will be made.
But yeah thats something like 3.5k there and thats without the standalone ecu [emoji22]
With a meg donor car you could quite easily see...
Yeah get some pics of all your wiring aswell! Did you just use your own loom/ switches for all the lights, indicators?! Or did you wire them into the clio stalks?
