Aye that's a good shout actually! We stopped in there last year to fill up I'm sure.
Anyone who likes to use V power can suck it up and make do with some Tesco Momentum lol
@MineShaft are you coming along to this mate? Just noticed you'd RSVP'd yes to the event
7 or 8 cars total then...not bad! Any non-clios or will I be the only one? 😂
Yeah I got it there through some weird Tapatalk messaging thing, but it wouldn't let me reply with it 😂
Not sold it yet, but it's the morning session mate.
It's a date! I'll make sure to bring the tissues for any tears that are shed due to being clio-less.
On the plus side, I'm looking forward to arriving without the worry of developing a serious case of tinnitus from a shitty ktec stealth exhaust...
If anyone is looking for track time, I'm going to have to sell mine off as I won't be able to get the car ready for it 😞
Will still be coming down in the bm though, which, coincidentally means if any Scots want to come last minute but not drive I'll have spare seats!
Will try that! My mate uses reload on his car and it streaks easily from what I've seen undiluted.
Yeah I figured polishing would remove it anyway but it was more to make sure it wouldn't react badly with it or anything.
So both hydro2 and reload seem pretty interchangeable then? I'll maybe...
Brilliant, cheers guys! I'll need to pick up a bottle of Reload then. Should be cheaper than constantly topping up with Hydro2 lite or something.
Can't wait to try essence out properly. Bought some then shat out of trying it at the weekend lol as I wasn't sure on using it after other polishes...
Last weekend I gave my car a proper clean and decon in prep for giving it a quick machine polish to remove some light swirling in it. Didn't have enough time to do the whole car, so not wanting to leave it unprotected, I fired some Hydro2 over it. So, couple of questions about this, because...
Anyone know the best place to get AD08R's in 195/50/15 just now? Used to go with tyreleader at 60-65 quid a corner but they're over £100 each now! Demon Tweeks is the cheapest I can find at £70 each.
Can't offer advice on the carbotech pads, but I'm very surprised you're getting fade from the RC5+ (assuming it's at knockhill?)
I ran them all last year and never once had any issues, even doing very long stints on track pushing hard.
Can someone recommend me some products for cleaning leather? Mainly just for keeping it clean as it's all in good condition just now. When I bought my car the leather was all very matte looking but even after a couple of weeks the seat base is starting to go shiny.
Also on the subject of shiny...
Finally done another track evening. Broke it again. This time it's only looking like a loose connection on the starter luckily!
Track night went well apart from that. Fired on my track wheels with A048's for it since it was dry and warm. Not sure how much more grip I really felt with them over...
Wasn't really sure where to post this, but my Nilfisk pressure washer died on me last night. Took it apart and all it needs is new brushes in the motor. Does anyone know of any websites where I'd be able to find spares for it?
Easy way to do it is remove the drivers wiper arm and move the passenger one into the middle, but the wiper will stop halfway up the screen. Bit pikey but it works. Think there might be some way to modify the linkage to get it to park at the bottom of the screen but I'm not sure.
Lol! The fact the car has received absolutely no proper setup or alignment since being built as well probably doesn't help...
Hoped for mid 14s though really.
At least it's noticeable lol! Ran bang on 15 seconds 3 runs in a row. Kinda disappointed with that tbh. Was struggling for grip though so could've been down to that.
I can't imagine there would be any issues with a lightweight flywheel on a boosted Clio. It would only ever be a problem when running mega power and a big turbo to suit. Big turbo = long time to spool up, and if you've got a very revvy engine and a big turbo it might always be playing catch up...
