Always had a soft spot for the Astra GSi - i’ve seen this one before and it appears to be absolutely immaculate.
Also clocked a 550 Maranello, apologies for the poor picture, i believe these have shot up in value recently, never seen a black one before, absolutely stunning cars.
Also, the haldex pump on the back axle needs properly serviced, Audi/Volkswagen only change the oil, it needs the gauze filter taken out and properly cleaned, DSG oil intervals are 40k also, these are not massively expensive jobs to have done.
The Golf R boot is massive, they go really well as standard and actually return decent fuel economy - the only thing that seems to haunt them is a failed thermostat housing iirc. Although not a show stopper - worth checking its been done or negotiate it.
IMO the Leon Cupra estate is far better...

Yeah mate, sold it for £300 more than i bought it for, but i was into it for about £500 though with the work i done so meh😑
So a lad is coming from Ireland for it tomorrow morning, i’ve cleaned it and waxed it - my god what a colour RB is with a coat of wax, it really is a lovely thing and i honestly think one of the cleanest available.
The nostalgia of the 1*2’s just isn’t there for me unfortunately. I am fond of it so whether it sells or not is much of a muchness sort of thing!

Not much of an update but more financial demolition…
So turns out the grumbling on the o/s of the Clio turned out to be a wheel bearing and not a swivel hub as i initially thought, when the lad that works on my motor inspected it he found that the front of the motor was wearing two different...
Interesting to see something like that being repainted a different colour, stuff like this you’d imagine would be kept as original as possible for residuals!
