i had the 200 and then the r26 and yes the r26 was quicker but it was just abit boring, the clio is awesome, its NA engine is absolutely brilliant and the handling is near perfect for fwd, if i had to say 200 or r26 i would go back to the 200

get a 197 then

As a day to day car I imagine the Alfa is much comfier and nicer to drive but the cup will hand it it's arse in a straight line and through 'the twisties'

ignore that ^^^ if you buy a gt you will forever be thinkning 'wish i had got a 197' the gt is the most gutless engine renault make, i think i would rather have the twingo 1.2. you can get a 2nd hand 197 for about 7-8k in decent shape and you were prepared to spend 10k so buy a 197 for 7k and...
