Highly doubt the numbers are available anywhere besides Renault or anyone who has raced an F4R with a serious budget, not just bolting tried & tested stuff on (i.e. works teams). And then of course is the "what are you going to do with it?" Unless you have the money to CFD & develop a new...
What's the point of an SRN019 over an RS192? (Genuine question)
They're a similar price. 019 is presumably louder (and being nit picky, lighter as well assuming they're the same material) but "is that it" so to speak?
Particularly, why would you buy an 019 when according to scorpion you gain...
As per Gally, bizarre thread even for CS.
* Comfy & well equipped vs going round corners & interesting?
* R.e. being mistaken for for a salesman's 320d... the same joe public would mistake the FRS for a chavved up 10 year old Focus
Can't see the other side?
But agreed. I'm sure you're well aware that this is fixable for a few hundred? High possibility of there being money to be made whichever route you go down (breaking/fixing) anyway.
As above I used normal primer/paint/lacquer and it's absolutely fine.
Do the fog light surrounds & splitter (if applicable) whilst you're at it. Smartens the front up no end.
I'm assuming there are discounted prices available to those with confirmed entries, because the prices on K-Tec's website are different to those being quoted in here.
Control suspension is less than a fiver shy of £1200
ECU is over £50 more than what was mentioned earlier
Besides for those...
£5k.
Apparently.
£1.2k of suspension, £1k ECU, £500 wheels & tyres, £??? 6 point cage... I guess they figure a Cat D donor car (I say "donor car" in the loosest way possible!)
If you're still struggling there's no particularly catastrophic reason why you can't drain the oil, disconnect the gaiter from the gearbox so that you can have a really good look and see what you're doing as you are putting the driveshaft back in rather than doing it blind. Then refill the box...
This.
For most young Clio RS owners on the forum EUI group companies (Bell in particular) represent the only realistic and not-completely-stupid way to get insured on an RS at a very young age.
Unfortunately calls to them cost a few £million as you're on hold for 45minutes @ premium...
Plenty of info on recommended stuff. Infact there's endless threads :p
Plugs: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?731418-spark-plugs&highlight=spark+plugs [Genuine spark plugs only - really quite cheap & there are endless threads of people having problems with non-OEM items...
Have you seen a bicycle tyre after you leave it in the garage over winter? Or tried to stretch a really old elastic band? The point is that some materials deteriorate with age as quickly as they deteriorate with use, hence every manufacturer that you've ever come across puts a mileage AND an age...
No no no.
I'm not saying you need one or you'll loose power if you don't have one. IIRC KTEC style kits have been independently rolling roaded and shown surprising results (i.e. that it borders on gaining the odd NM here and loosing a few there across the rev range)
It's just that colder...
If you've fitted non-OEM seats or an aftermarket steering wheel then search for "airbag" resistor.
If you've crashed and airbags have gone off, then you're a bit stuffed. Can't "turn off" the airbag light via OBD (strictly speaking you'd guess a proper Renault CLIP system could, but that's...
Forget "gains" as such, the general trend is that you'll be lucky not to LOOSE a tiny/negligible bit of performance if you deviate from the standard airbox.
For performance then, it's standard/V6 airbox + panel filter OR try to get a good quality foam filter behind the headlight with some...
You're probably mistaking it for the exhaust emissions light? Orange, down on the right hand side of the clocks, to be fair it is the shape of an engine block lol.
And if so, yes this is normal. You don't have a cat. Therefore you're car can't get rid of the nastier exhaust gases. Therefore...
TBH you may as well just get your chosen independent specialist to have a look over those points whilst it's having it's belts/dephaser done and potentially have the whole car sorted in a day.
On that note, belts are due every 5 years/72k miles WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. So it's due it's 2nd belt...
ebay for owners manual. There isn't a haynes manual as such for the 2.0L RS models. Some people have success with the £10 PDF-on-a-CD "workshop manuals" on ebay. Otherwise individual sections of the official Renault workshop manual can be found on here (search) but never found them any use...
Is it not an absence of understanding of the absolute fundamentals (in loads of examples, not just a forum or vehicle dynamics) which leads to common misconceptions & then slightly iffy views after that?
I might have misunderstood you, in which case I agree the spec of popular fast road...
Not a clio but...
Saw an AM V8 Vantage with 140,000 miles up for £40k earlier today. Granted it was a development car so had some dampers and carbon bits, but I thought the V8 vantages were circa 60k new?
I'm a PC gamer, but this thread is too one-sided:
Some types of games (e.g. racing or football) work much better on a gamepad whilst lying on a sofa. Admittedly with some perseverance you can hook up a 360 controller to a PC. Likewise some games (e.g. shooters) work much better with a mouse...
