And the problem begin.
I had a slight coolant drip. Looked like it was the big coolant pipe. I replaced this and turns out it's the bottom of the actual Rad. We poured some Kseal in the Rad till My Nissens replaced comes in.
Sat Nav
It speaks to me but the display is blank. Tried...
Yanoo on here sells them for the 1*2 /scenic /bms set up. €8 for a pair of brass bushes that replace the plastic bushes at the bottom of tbe gearstick where it connects to the long gear selector rod underneath the car. Makes a nice difference sharpening the gear feel up! Definitely worth the money
? I need to stick to one car. Gutted I sold the ph1 to be honest. It was running like a dream and I had done everything I wanted to it.. Silly me.
I got this lull of nostalgia with the 306,it just handled so bad due to warn rear beam that I quickly lost interest. Anyway, I'm back, the new 172...
I knew I was back in the right car when I got to the first roundabout. Renault really nailed it with the chassis!
Hope these pics work.

Ph1 definitely felt better put together. But it's not had at all, nice surprise to find nearly all the suspension is new.
The corolla had a spongey chassis, not much steering feel and the gears were designed so bad. There was no way to stay in 'lift' between 1st and second gear and would drop...
No idea where it was guiding me to! Was on the way home from picking it up. Buttons are lit, screen isn't. I've reset ecu, had dash off and unplugged everything and re inserted the CD.
Must be the screen. Will be fun tracking one down.. ?
Removed dash, all seems connected just fine. I can get it to say 'softer' when I press + or - buttons. Apprently previous owner had it In standby mode and screen hasn't come back on since.
Any ideas guys?
I'm back ?
Some of you might remember my ph1 I sold a few months back. Loved it but fancied a change.

Just picked up a 2004 172 flamer. With the sat nav option.
The screen is blank but buttons are lit up and respond with audio response to me Pressing buttons.
It gives directions also.
Seems to be In standby mode? How can I get the display up again? Or reset?
Thanks
Is anyone knowledgeable up for viewing a ph1 for me for beer money? Happy to pay for it. Car is in Huntington area Brampton to be precise. Its a bit of a trek for me and the owner is slow in giving out info!
I want to know the basics,
Any noticeable issues, bodywork, rust clutch, gearbox...
I had the old droopy pipe cut off flush and the new pipe welded on straight, no angling. Cutting the bumper was the stressful bit where I really had to take my time to get it right

I actually owned this car twice. Bought it with the 1.3 skip brown lump, fantastic little engine but wanted more power so...
Then fitted my repainted 182 subframe
It has -
182 arb, polybushed inner & outer
182 dogmodog polybushed
Black polybush 182 wishbones with new ball joints.
182 steering rack polybush mounts
New 182 tres inner & outer
182 driveshafts
Im sure the polybushed wishbones made the most difference...
Looking to swap my 182 subframe, lower arms, arb, driveshafts etc to my ph1 but was wondering if the ph1 has bolt holes for the 182 driveshaft carrier bracket??
I have both off my old 182 but don't want to put the car up on a rented ramp to find out I can't use my 182 driveshaft!
Someone must...
