Who was the guy in the silver 182?
Who ever owns Liam's old 172, you had oil or something getting into the tyre and it was smoking. I tried to tell you in track just after the chicane, I was in the red megane.
Aye I had a look at it quickly, airbag, b pillar cover and ecu reset and it should be grand.
They're alright actually, only had an hour or so of dry (er) track so they got an easy night. The wheels need doing now as my mate dipped the lefts into the kitty litter at the bottom of Duffus. Will...
So I set about doing the remainder of the wrapping, namely the centre console and what an A hole that was. Turned out 'okay' in the end.
I fitted the others done last night too.
Fitted the worlds cheapest crapiest sunstrip with it being a track night and expecting a low sun, turned out it...
^^^
They get to know your car, I'm forever in trouble when I was in the cup. Was cutting more kerbs and sliding more tonight yet not a word.
Aye Gaz I was tempted to come right past you at Duffus but I waited to see where you ended, my passenger was shitting it haha.
Glanced the inside left kerb at Duffus and pop, wasn't even that bad.
Aye definitely better than spinning the tubes out if every corner for sure. I seen it happening so got to the right sharpish, barely got touched.... Hopefully!!
Will do, my iNet is dial up speeds when uploading to youtube...
Did that, once it came to a stop me and Adam were giggling like little girls.
Seen it coming 3 laps before...... impressed with your pace since last time I was out mate.
I had a spare hour tonight so I finally done the belts, they were proper minging in places.
Tada... G101 and a blast with the jet washer.
And I started to wrap the interior pieces. Just the centre console to do tomorrow and then fit my sun strip for the track night.
Same here.
Weather forecast has been really changeable over the last few days in Aberdeen and in Fife from the checking I have done. A wet hour and a dry hour would do me fine.
But needs painting weekly though ;)
My pal gave me a shot of similar brushes to do my meg which has grilles front and back and it makes it effortless.

Yeah more or less, played with some other bits but on the slam panel like you said has two 15mm holes yet the bolt shanks are around 8-10mm so it gives you some wiggle room.
Cheers
I received the parts to do the timing belt yesterday so I cracked on with that today.
Started by removing everything
Cleaned everything up
All genuine parts used. Timing belt/aux belt kits, water pump and all fixings.
Refitted timing and aux setup using the property timing tools...
@w33 brl I'll have a look, I have heard good and bad about them tbh. Everyone is different and wants different things though.
I think the compounds were made over somewhere around 2011 too Chip-mk1
I just googled, its the orange stuff that are the race pad and supposed to be quite good.
I'm not known for being very kind in a car so Monday will be a good test for them at Knockhill on my meg. I laughed when Tony said he was using yellow as a race pad with no problems but have since...
Yeah I have always stayed well clear of anything EBC from the fast car/max power days but their entire range has been re compounded (not sure if that's English) and I have heard quite good things about them.
The race pad (green iirc) is meant to be savage for the price.
Your yellows were old...
Performance friction, Carbon Lorraine, Hawk, Pagid like Chip says and I'm hearing more and more good reports of EBC yellow stuff upwards.
Im testing a set of yellow stuff on my r26 at the moment and I have a track day Monday night, hopefully they're a good pad.
Yeah totally agree that you can get rid of the vibrations but for the deposits to start in your 2nd session of a day its impossible to get rid of unless your cruising for the remaining sessions. That's why I'll never buy ds2500 or 3000 pads again. I thought it might be exclusive to one model but...
Thats what you should always do really when you install pads anyway Mark, that's what bedding in is. Ds2500 and 3000 are known for leaving deposits and 2500 aren't any better than a Brembo pad IME except they don't fade quite as quick.... Still garbage IMO for the price.
Google "warped discs...
Cheers lads, would a dumpy 1/4 socket with ratchet not do the heat should? I'm sure I have a 7mm ratchet spanner somewhere though but just to make sure?
