For the guys in the know in regards to the 197's.
what do the cup models actually come with over a normal 197?
does the car in the link look right for a 197, I've driven past this everyday this week in a local dealership and its caught my eye everyday, but I wasn't sure if the front bumper was...
Is it the black '04 plate on thier website?

Rich, if you look at Swede's first picture, you will see the little plates that attach to the bar, these have a floating nut within them that you fix the seat side mounts to.
the original seat bars in mine gave been removed, leaving only the new seat bars in the position that is required...
Sonny/Morgan, its just an old stereo blanking panel, I just used my step drill bit to get the holes to the right size after measuring up for each individual switch location, and I have my own labelling machine for the wording under each switch.
the panel itself was pretty secure when clipped in...
Another late update.
started to paint the back of the car black
first steps of battery relocation, black box is a little wonky in the pic but is now straight and neat.
mock up for the battery isolation switch position
next it was off to a mates to have the seat bars welded into...
TBH chip, I think ill stick with this for a couple of years and then move on to a 197, if not sooner, and see what decent options are available then rather than converting a road car again.
The Trophy is already a trailer only car chip, there is no way in hell that it would now ever pass an MOT.
New trailer is now purchased and tucked away safely with the car :)
long term, I would like to go this route with the gearbox, but other things to achieve with the car first.
Ha Ha, or...
Surely just give them the plastic one you currently have.
you can still leave the loom in place and plugged in after you have removed it incase you need to shuffle the car about.
realistically Dan, as much as I would love it, I think at this stage where we only have 2 months until the bub is born and a fair bit still to achieve on the house, hinting at a sequential box will be as close to suicide as I'm likely to get :(
a friend is flying out today with her mum to New York, taking her out there for a few days for her 50th birthday.
a place I've never been (as yet) but it is on my list of places to visit in the future.
Very nice indeed.
wonder if I can justify to Kim that a gearbox for the track car is more important than having a new bathroom before the baby comes, lol.
(I think it could be a dangerous conversation to venture in to)
Russ, these are the spherical bearings that PM supply.
as far as I'm aware they do not supply an uprated rubber variant.
you need to weld in the bearing carriers, and then press in the new spherical bearings.
Anyone done it, easy job?
I've not looked that closely at it yet, but not sure how far back, or the route the line takes from the rail.
or, can up just change over the connection where it connects to the rail itself?
Cheers.
Spotted on the inside lane of the M25 just after the Leatherhead junction heading in the direction of Reigate.
spotted the clio sport.net sticker in the rear window :)
