How old is your son Adam? as I want my Boy to have a go on these and everywhere I've been they say he is too young!
He's done the electric karts but they are so slow he gets bored and tries picking his nose through the helmet while driving round.
Its just practice Mark,
Its definitely got easier the more panels I do and I hadn't wrapped anything previously.
Your right Pete, it does scrub up ok, lol really pleased with it
And just a finishing touch before my sponsors logo's go on
It still amazes me how much you can stretch, shrink, stretch, shrink this stuff, Once you get used to working with it its pretty easy, Even if you cut a piece too short, just heat it up and stretch it!
Don't get me wrong, its doesn't look great close up, but at 4 foot it does look good...
Tony,
If you can wait till the Oulton Park test day we can do it then? bring some vinyl, I can bring all the tools and a generator for the hot air gun.
Jamie,
If I hadn't of made the night out then I wouldn't of been able to afford racing after paying maintenance for my kids plus the solicitors fees!
But I also needed to test my car!!!!!!!!
Just stretch a piece over your drivers door tony and no one will see the dent!
Each panel is getting better as we go along, not looking forward to the bumpers though
More progress on the car today and its getting close to my first race at Oulton Park,
Had a mate come round and help me with the vinyl wrapping today, I can see why companies charge so much to do it, but its acceptable for a race car and starting to look the part now,
James,
Shame about your off, and your gearbox, oh, and your rear beam, I suppose I should look forward to all three myself,
I'm a little confused by your bearing issue, do they move side to side in the welded in casing or up and down? I really don't thing putting the casings in round the...
Don't be deceived by size! that's what I tell the Mrs anyway,
Check the discharge rates as most race batteries will have a very slow discharge rate, as do leisure batteries, hint hint!
If you have an alternator die mid race you need a battery with the highest amps per hour discharge rate...
James,
Running mine at Snetterton I experienced no gearbox heat problems at all, and that has a similar high speed entry into a tight harpin, was out on track for 30 mins at a time, I'm using Castrol Syntrax.
Was the mainshaft shimmed right when it was put together? If it isn't then with...
I love Cadwell in a small hatch, Its got just the right combination of medium length straights and lots of tight twisty technical stuff, My last race there was in 2006 with the 750 mc,
I disagree that it is only a bike circuit but definitely not for a larger salon
I may join you guys...
Even If I could make 6 events cost wise, work commitments would stop me getting there,,, Plans are pretty simple for this year so far,
27th September- Oulton Park afternoon test
28th September- French Trophy Oulton Park
20th October- Track Attack winter series
Over winter will be the...

Oulton park on the 28th of September, Don't feel I need to waste anymore time testing as I got what I needed from today, I can play around with tyre pressures on race day.
Car gets vinyl wrapped at the end of this month, need some new tyres, torn between Yoko's or Dunlops
That would it explain it Jay,
On TSL website it says Snetterton 300 but the lap times shown are under 3 mins,
Oh, and that Gripper diff is awesome.
Cant wait
Well, My shakedown didn't start off well!
Collected my trailer up yesterday afternoon after work and set off home to load the car and all my tools for today, Loaded the car whilst still connected to my car and left it on there whilst I had a cup of tea (it had already been a long day)
With time...
