The car mechanically isnt too bad, subframe bent, drivers side hub broken but it does need a shell change,
Not sure whether I cought the kebing, They have built a great big sausage on the inside of this corner recently due to the new track limits rule, In all honesty I was going in a bit...
You need one of these then! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scuba-Diving-13-3-4-Fiber-Glass-Lobster-Tickle-Pointer-Stick-w-Clip-Lanyard-/181291535931?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a35d14e3b
Are you at Rockingham on March 9th Tony?
Get one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DURAGADGET-12V-Car-Charger-For-GoPro-HD-Hero-Camera-Helmet-Motorsport-Surf-/140991580758?pt=UK_Camera_Cables_Adapters&hash=item20d3c0ca56 and I'll wire it in as I'm not testing but will be there all day.
Pete,
I've found in the past that if you put the camera too far forward in the cockpit then you get no perception of speed and everything looks like you are doing 20mph.
Ideally you want to get part of the front side windows in view to get the perception,
Also we can all then see when you...
Getting the geometry is pointless without corner weighting the car, as the car will act differently from left to right, also when changing the weight through a chicane, Find yourself a decent set up which is a good compromise around all the circuits that you visit and keep to it,
Go and buy...
My alternator is always over heating due to running at fast speeds most of the time, I've just fitted a new one with a larger pulley to slow it down,
If you have a good battery then you shouldnt have issues with heated rear screens,
Its not the volts you need to worry about, its the amps...
No AST's yet, were supposed to be here Thursday gone,
Its given me the time to wire all my Race technology stuff in, feels like I'm back at school with all the learning of the software, Programing, then re programing, programing again, then re programing. lol
Still space a rockingham on the 20th of this month James, but at a guess would be pushing for that too,
Be good to see you though if your not doing anything that day, you can make the tea!
Thats bad news about the gear box mate
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
Its still on stands waiting for the AST's which should be here tommorrow, ECU and throttle bodies are on hold for now as we cant settle on a date for development as they will need the car for 4 weeks,
I need to get some set up done with the new...
Re: sonny172cup "track racer project"
Oh look! Progress! Nothing like that going on around here, lol,
Good going Sonny, now hurry up and get it back together for some testing
Looks like I may be joining you on the 15th James,
The throttle bodies and ECU are put on hold while the other parties sort themselves out so may as well get some suspension set up time, otherwise I'll be pushing to be ready for Rockingham
So the winter banter has started, lol
I'm not getting the cup hub set up so I'll be the token "Suzuki swift" that comes past you on the straight, only to dissapear into the gravel at the next corner!
LOL,
Dont all get worried yet,, 170BHP might be the limit of my talent!
And we all have to run out of that at some point.
I've yet to speak with my engine builder about spec, so what I want and what I can afford may be two different things, But still good news that I have some available...
