Agree... It seems the days of breaking these for bits and making a nice profit are gone. Bumpers were £100 bare, now £20 for a complete one! Xenons have halfed to £40-£50 Interior is worth nothing and often given away I remember Recaro's selling for £1,000 - £1,200 and are now £500-£600...

Could be exhaust / heat shield if it's directly under the gear stick as I had it once and it was loud. Did you pull the engine forward on the top drivers mount? Check the mounts again if you've recently fitted them, were they torqued correctly? Have you got J&R driveshafts? Lol

Don't forget the bolt in your n/s top mount ;) Looking nice and original, is the plan just to keep it nice and clean yeah?

Love both of your vans massively. Looks so good on the 2118's in white. Interestingly I bought a set of spare xenons off a guy breaking a 172, and when I turned up I realised why he was breaking it, to create this.. Quite liked it but felt weird it sounding the same as my Cup lol

Sounds like a bag of spanners! Where's the inlet bolts / aux belt?! Has it ever been washed? The bonnet ! EDIT: Just seen you've disconnected the belt. Probably easier to just throw another engine in it

In my last photo, underneath where I've greased (the nut thread and the splines the wiper sits on) you can see the gold circlip. Scroll up and you'll see it missing on the first photo. Yeah I believe they are all the same mate.

Yep. If it's been sat for a while check the plugs and leads, could of got water in and corroded etc. Start with them and go from there, don't start pulling everything apart, rule it all out separately. If not as bloke said, Fusebox issues maybe

172 cup fine 172 182 Cup Trophy etc. Fine on passenger side. Pages upon pages of problems drivers side. Then there's ABS ring confusion etc but think this was a one off as usually they send two sizes of ABS rings

Report back once you've swapped the cable. Unless your entire gearbox is saturated in PS fluid lol

Odd about the release bearing? Was the fork etc all ok? Is the clutch cable clipped in from pedal the box properly?

Hello mate I didn't have any issues at all. The only people that seem to run into problems is the non 172 Cup's with the drivers shaft rubbing on the block. Hundreds of threads on here about shafts and J&R Quarter of the price of genuine ones if you can find a set

It's possible if you say the fluid went everywhere but not sure that's the issue. I would recommend swapping that PS pipe... From the picture it looks like the low pressure one but still wouldn't like to rely on liquid metal mate. If it's just when pulling away maybe the cables knackered and...

I was going to suggest the clutch cable until I read about the PS Fluid, that wouldn't of done it any good mate. Coolant is bad enough sometimes. Did you have a leak and if so where from? What clutch did you replace it with in October?
