Yeah I know the one now, it's right next to the pipe which goes from the acoustic valve to the old box so it's a possibility it's got nudged,
only other thing I can think of is the jubilee on the new filter would slip off when tightened so was slackened off slightly but there was no movement...
That's what I thought, just a coincidence as it was fine before I suppose. Just wondered whether it was to do with the car learning different airflow or if I had knocked something.
Been for another short drive and It's not as bad now just hunts to 1600 rpm and then drops back to normal Although...
Fitted mine today and love it, the only thing I've noticed with mine though is sometimes not all the time the revs will sit around 1800 on idle or wonder between 1000 and 1800. Anyone else had this?
Anybody fitted this on a car with no map? What's it like in terms of power delivery? Just curious to the power increase/ decrease mentioned through out the thread as most seem to run the 98 Ron map.
I upgraded from a 1.2 around 3 months ago to a 172, fuel wise I don't really notice a difference unless I'm doing lengthy journeys. As above it's just the tax and cambelt costs really.
I was down about 70mm on a mk2 and had plenty before touching bumps with the bumpers around sheffield and rotherham, as mentioned the main suffering will be the stiff ride which can be uncomfortable at times!
If it's only 40mm on springs then it should be barable
Just a quick one, I have the brake pedal fart as it seems to be named on here and would like to have a look at the suspected abs rings to see if they are the problem.
Where are they located? Can I jack the car up to be able to see them or does it need the wheel, discs removing?
I've heard much worse than ours to be honest hahaha! Get that trophy spoiler fitted so I can make a decision ;)
Santas flame red sleigh would have been a more appropriate title?
Cheers guys, few more bits as promised, you may want to make this a project thread @Rob ?
Fuel rail guard painted silver, will be doing the Inlet at some point.
Silvervisions fitted, not the best photos but you get the idea
Finally I've also wrapped the a pillars in alcantara (not the...
Bit of an update, nothing major unfortunately due to Christmas upcoming and saving for the belts to be done but here goes!
Passenger side headlight was in dire need of a refurb, done with 1200, 2000 and 3000 wet and dry. Was done once but wasn't happy so did it again, before:
After...
Having problems with the oil and stop light coming on, it will flicker on then go off for a few minutes and then come on again etc.
I've owned the car for 5 weeks now and this has only happened on 2 days today been very wet and cold and I believe it was the same last time.
I checked the oil...
Looking good. Love the inlets with the engine cover on!
Is it easy to remove the top Inlet? Wouldn't mind spraying mine tomorrow, I'm assuming there will be a gasket between the inlet and block?
I did have a quick look but I don't think the universal types would fit, I could have just bought a new spray bottle but I'm Abit anal (OCD to blame) with things like this
Sooo after dropping my z6 earlier the spray head shattered but thankfully didn't leak anything out but is no longer usable, the bottle is still intact and therefore wondering if anyone can link me to a new spray head that will fit the bottle neck?
Thanks
