Nice mate - i like the Octavia too - my Mums got a TT roadster (225bhp) and ive driven both - to be honest, the Skoda feels just as quick, i dont know if the 4wd on the audi slows it down or what, but it doesnt feel any quicker!!

I just looked it up on the Vauxhall site - 192 BHP, 0-60 in 7.6, Top Speed of 138mph!

Im seriously thinking of buying it from my Dad next year, as he will be changing it - i know its been well looked after, and ill get it cheaper ;-)

Funny that Peugeot have designed the best rally car over the past two years, but yet the 206 is not a good handling road car - why is this!?!?!? The Evo6/7 and Impreza etc, even the Focus, are all good rally cars - and the road going versions handle very well indeed, maybe the Focus isnt...

106gti/SaxoVTS Vs Clio 16v - IMO i think 9/10 the 106/Saxo would be slightly quicker through first, then the valver would gain back what it lost, then from 80mph + the Vavler would gently pull away.......

My Dads got the RS Octavia too!!! I had him some plates made with a slogan saying "I USED TO TELL SKODA JOKES" - BMW drivers hate it as it is - without reading that!!!

Me neither.......... cant say that would be something id ever want to try to be honest!

Well going up a steep hill cant have helped - as we all know Torque is not the Valvers strong point - i didnt mention but at the top of the hill there is a roundabout which leads on to another section of duel carriage way so we went down this where i was almost hitting the limiter - i stayed...

Could have just been the 16v one - they would be similar to a 16v Clio, if it was a genuine turbo - straight line youd have had no chance.

Any ideas, other than being stiff in First and Second?!?
