Could have just been the 16v one - they would be similar to a 16v Clio, if it was a genuine turbo - straight line youd have had no chance.

Any ideas, other than being stiff in First and Second?!?

106 GTIs are ever so slightly quicker then Valvers - in my opinion........ sorry! 120 bhp was for the early ones, then some were 130 bhp - cant remember when it changed etc! The 106 is quite a lot smaller, has smaller wheels as standard, and probably weighs quite a bit less - dont be...

On ZERO boost? Are you sure you dont mean the minimum which would be around 10 psi? Youd not want to drive a turbo car with Zero boost, that would be slooooooooooooooow

Well to save 6 yrs NCB, its still probably just worth paying him - the shock through the car could well have effected other areas - especially things like light bulbs etc, If i were you id just thank god it wasnt a company car and you could do it without going through insurance, best just to...

Well he knew id just paid £1500 to get it rebuilt, that was one reason he was so keen on it! I would be fuming if i still had the car though, seriously! Anyway, when is this RR day?? Where are BBT again, east London??

Well it should have all been sorted having been rebuilt for £1500 by possibly the best 5 Tuner around.......... Just shows these cars wont ever be bullet proof no matter what you do to the engine!

The guy who swapped cars with me has just informed me that he found a load of Oil in the water reservoir and that basically the Head is cracked!!!!!!! I have just spent £1500 having this rebuilt about 6 weeks ago - he knew this when swapping with me, i had a reconditioned head fitted - but...
