If its a speedo drive there is a large black sensor pointing diagonally to the bulkhead at the rhs of the box. It should have metal heat shield round it. If it doesnt have this then it not.
They do give a bit more noise but also give you a flat spot that will become annoying, and swapping it every year will become very tedious. 182's would be ok but not 172's.
Will do mate, cheers for that idea!
Can see this thing heading your way soon mate as I've just about had enough and don't have time to keep fu*king about with it.
After getting over the immobiliser issues that were plaguing me, I've now moved onto another issue.
Got the base map loaded onto the ecu, did a final level check and took the plunge to fire it up. Turned over a few times them on the 3rd try it fired up with a healthy roar then settled into a...
Use a smaller 12 point socket that is a very tight fit. You'll need to smack it on with a hammer so it is proper tight. Loosen the bolt at the opposite side of the bolt patter and tighten the 2 closest. If possible use an impact gun as it will slip less but if you don't have one just use what...
I'll get in touch with them then. That sounds good with the NCB. I had worked up 2 years as a second policy with Reis but have over 10 on another policy.
Immobiliser problem now fixed. Some nipped wires behind the dash causing a short.
Now just need to get the base map on and see what other curve balls this thing throws at me! :headno:
Immobiliser is now off!! Yipeee!!! :approve:
Some wiring had been nipped behind the dash. Cut soldered and heat shrink and worked first time.
On with the base map now!
£100 per week. Thought you'd have been able to get a year nearly for that. The last time I had the Clio on the road was £400 for the year with all mods declared.
Think this is what I'll end up doing or just keep it insured for the occasional winter blast.
I'll look into them. Cheers for that!
Need to insure my turbo 172 cup to run in the new engine and get it down to EFI Parts for mapping. Probably need about a months cover.
Anyone know who would offer this length of cover and what price I'd be expected to pay for the pleasure?
Think they're closer to 25mm long.
These would do.

What do you get for £400? Flywheel, mounts, box, hydraulics lsd and gear linkage?
The RS box will have the diff and box for about £450. The rest I don't know but seems a good box for the intended purpose. As long as it would work with similar mods to the o2m.
I'd like to know if anyone with 197 brembos have tried fitting them under 2118's with some spacers. I fitted some AP racing CP5200 calipers under them with only 20mm spacers for 300mm discs.
There is around 10mm clearance so still loads of room.
Slicks for 16's on that width of wheel will be...
You could use this for the inlet.

Boost pipework is pretty straight forward. Keep it 2" and you shouldn't have too many problems routing it.
I agree with Andy though, you would be better with the...
