Found this which seems to show how the oil circuit works. It looks like the journal closest to the dephaser is fed independently when the dephaser is either on advance or r****d but does not feed the rest of the camshaft.
Just wanted to double check that the oil feed journals at either end of the camshafts both feed oil and the extra hole on the journal next to the dephaser is a drain from it.
Also, do both journals feed the entire inlet cam or does one feed the journals and the one at the dephaser feed end...
I made the pulley body's and the pulley outer is from old dephasers.
They are essentially. I thought why re-invent the pulley as the machining work needed to make the teeth would be too costly.
These will be getting tried soon on my car and can make more if there is interest.
I've been to loads of trackdays with people using slicks so defo not road legal. The whole road legal thing is to make sure the car is safe as in has an MOT.
The whole track and road use tyre thing is never as clear cut.
IMO, get a cheap set of 15's and fit some R888's or A048's. Depending on the number of trackdays, it could work out cheaper and then you can sell the wheels on when you are done. The only downside is that you'll need somewhere to...
This is nearly the same as I used to have my setup apart from the fluid where I used Motul RBF600.
Very good setup on track and never managed to boil the fluid. The Pagid RS4-2's are very good and seem to last forever even on Brembo Max discs.
Can anyone confirm the wiring to the cigarette lighter? I want to use this for my gauges but am unsure of what the 3 wires are. I know 2 of them are for Live feed and earth but whats the 3rd?
I need a switched earth so hope the 3rd wire is that.
Cheers.
