Mine is the white one that was hooning around Llandow. The handling in corners is better than a 182 and its not slow as it is so lightweight. Don't knock em if you've never driven one. I am not as confident chucking my clio into a corner than I am in the Panda. Good choice on the exhaust I've...
Was very busy today and the car park was probably better than most of the cars on the track. Had to queue for 50 minutes this morning to get in and they actually closed the gate as my son was about to go in. Didn't stop some stupid mare complaining. "My husband has an MGF 180 Trophy in yellow...
We made the rear door cards out of thin mdf and covered in a carbon wrap. Not easy but a nice cheap mod. Will probably do the same to the fronts. Cheers for the comments it's been a buzz building the car and coping with the problems it threw at us.
Thanks for all those comments about my mechanic. He greeted me tonight with a few choice comments about hanging up his spanners. I had texted him a link to this thread so that he could see Jay's picture of how the ASTs should sit.
Picked the car up tonight and all is good. Drove it home...
Got a message from Steve this evening and I quote. "It's easy when you know how". He looked at it after he had finished work and re-set them as Jay's photos and bingo job's a good un. All sorted, now I need to book it in for suspension geometry. . . Thanks for all of your useful comments and I...
Looks great and they are one of the nations best kept secrets. I love mine as well and actually enjoy taking it out just to see people's faces when you zip away from traffic lights. I too have Abarth badges on to confuse people and disguise the fact its a Panda
Just a quick update for those people I spoke to at Combe at the weekend. Most assumed the Clio had re developed its starting problem. I explained that my mechanic mate was having trouble with the AST top mounts and the top of the Gaz front coilover was hitting the bonnet when closed. So I...
Glad you helped yourself to my pics mate. You seemed to be going better in the second session. Sounded quite loud and a higher pitch than others when leaving Quarry. Should have put the video on the camera and tried to catch the sound.
A few more pics from yesterday. There were a fair few Clios on track yesterday and I know I missed some and some pics were of poor quality so did not post them. Sorry if I missed your car. It got quite cold on Quarry during parts of the day so had extra camera shake lol...
We always meet at the Cross Hands Hotel at Old Sodbury. arrived there this morning to an angry hotel owner thanking us for waking the whole of the hotel up and telling us to leave as he was calling the Police. Apparently the Ford/Vauxhall crews had nade a lot of noise earlier before we arrived...
For those that attended well done. Low take up on this for some reason this year and only 8 of us met up before the hotel owner told us to get off his land. We had a pitch big enough to accomodate more than the 20 we usually get. Enough of my moaning on with the photos.
A sign of the times...
As stated poor turn out from CS especially as some of us weren't even in Clios lol. Was an awesome day and got loads of pics which I'm downloading now. Another year of returning with a red face if only it wasn't so cold. good to catch up with a few people and meet newbies. There were times when...
I'll post my pics up later . It looked awful and the worst thing was he just drove straight back on to the track and crawled back to the pits without checking the damage. It really did look a mess.
Dropped it off at my mechanic to have coilies, discs and pads fitted and investigate my temperature gauge not working. Hopefully get it back early next week. It's cost me a fortune this week. So much for a budget build lol.
Fitted new Toyo T1Rs and got pulled by 5-0 for late exit off a motorway. received a pleasant chat from the policeman and a drive safely lecture. very reasonable outcome.
