Chip always said to me that to get 300bhp AND do supporting mods (diff, brakes, suspension etc etc) you need to be thinking around the £10k mark. Obviously it can be done cheaper than that - but it's not a million miles off!

I used the standard gearbox for approx 5000 miles with no problems. However, as I plan to keep mine for a long time I have gone for an 02m conversion. Unfortunately this will cost you not far off the price of the turbo conversion!

It's come on to warn you that the engine oil level is below 'minimum' which you have confirmed on the dipstick. You really haven't had the best time with it have you.... Where are you based mate?

It's effectively just an electronic dipstick.

Same bolts are fine.

The oil light is to tell you that there is insufficient oil pressure. Which is NOT good.

It won't have been bone dry - the dipstick only measures the top 1ltr of oil.
