I finished this, just going around collecting stuff before going into NG+.
Some of the bosses were very easy, but some were a right t**t. Think I'm level 294 or something daft now. I did most of the game with the Black Knight Halberd+5 and Drangleic sword+5 but for the later stages moved onto...
Awesome aren't they? It's the best sounding car I've owned (I exclude the P1 in that because P1 > all).
As for the petrol consumption, Cumbria to Edinburgh is around 150 miles and that'll be just under half a tank in my R26.
They don't anymore, Dave. Those were with 15mm spacers; it's now got 12mm on. The CSL alloys already have an impressive offset so an error on my purchasing skills :o
I quite like driving around at low speeds. Feels so solid and purposeful. But yeah, the sport button and rasp at 5k is crazy...
It's quick enough. I'd say any car that can hit 60mph in sub 5 seconds is quick. Around 11.2s to 100mph so it pulls a bit, too.
There are quicker cars, obviously, but it's no slouch.
It's been excellent so far. The SMG is a very clever piece of kit, although dated now when you compare it with the DCT etc.
No mate. Will be going up for sale shortly :dapprove: Needs must.
Yes you can but if there no cracks there's no cracks. The bill for failure is around £1600 so yeah...
Worth bearing in mind a warranty on the E46M is around £1600, and that's with less than 60k miles on the clock. It's mental.
Budget costs;
SMG repair: £1600
Vanos: £1200
Subframe reinforcement/repair: £1600 (BMW goodwill on subframe is 10 years. Some crack, some don't. 2005 models have a...
Think those are the only items I took in for fitting!
Vredestein tread pattern isn't mirrored either side so that confused me but Pirelli are the same.
No mate, both been SMG. Can be a big bill if it goes wrong, but it's pretty awesome and effortless on the paddles.
Seems to be around 28mpg currently. Big bills if and when they go wrong (SMG, Vanos, subframe) but for a £50k car you'll get £50k running costs regardless of how much...
Having sold my previous M3 prematurely to pay off a loan or two, I thought I'd go back to old ground again, hopefully this time for a little while longer. Won't be to everyone's tastes, but nevertheless:
Quick spec of the car, as purchased:
2005 Silver Grey
48k
SMG II
Sat Nav, Digital TV...
Yeah, that puts a lot of folk off, but next service is £170 oil service, then a £400 Inspection I (which means an Inspection II will be some time off, thankfully).
The money I've spent on mine in the month or so I've had it has been for cosmetic aside from brakes. I'll do a thread at the...
They are fantastic cars. I was down to 3 choices; 335i, 535d and the E46M3. I went for the E46M in the end (low miles, 2005, dat badge) but the 335i is brilliant. It's arguably "too mental" as in it is deceptively quick and just keeps going. You could easily lose your license or worse in one if...
Fantastic chariot that, Stu. You'd have to be mad bro not to love the Escort Cosworth. They just don't age. Iconic car in every sense.
Looks great in red, too. Don't see too many in that colour. Will look great with the Compo's on.
I'd like to think I'll have one some day, but I'd have to...
