This does ring a bell tbh. 100% certain my 182 displayed a similar fault with (Not a fault) next to it.
Maybe someone with RSTuner can verify if its this exact 'fault?'
The cold weather can amplify a weak battery, if you have access to an alternative suitable battery for your Clio, it may be worth swapping to that first.
If you still have the issue then at least you have found that the battery is not the issue.
Or if your local to Fred, he will just take a look and tell you without measuring it.
Just says "Yep its got cup suspension" or whatever he would say if it didn't.
Also informed me my 182 has the RS inlets too which I was unaware of.
Just now spotted this with Turinis, initially thought it was a 182 until it went past and saw it only had a single exit yozza.
Sure I saw a CS sticker in the front window?
No, its a Pioneer aftermarket unit.
I'm not quite sure, I'll report back when Pioneer release the firmware and I've tried it myself. I'd imagine its through one of the USB ports it sports.
My mates Cup was on a standard map beforehand but IIRC it pushed 174BHP on the rollers. He had it stripped (Recaro Evo front seats, no rear bench) and we were neck and neck up the motorway.
He got his RS Tuner and whilst I was waiting for 5K he was taking off. By the time I got to 5K it was...
My Clio came with the stock headunit with an iPhone/iPod cable but due to Apple changing the connector, I had to change headunits! After I did, and got my iPhone 5, I still couldnt change tracks via the headunit. Appears the 8400BT needs a firmware update to do so, so I just bought an SD card...
As said, check where the belts have previously been done.
Mine was on a 15,000 mile cambelt but I got dephaser rattle, and when I took it to a specialist (Fred@BTM) he shown me the tippex marks that told both me and him that it had been "Tippex timed" previously by the garage that did the belt...
Nice buy, I absolutely love that colour!
They are fairly economical for a 2L, I'm surprised at how little juice my 182 drinks even when on that particular drive, my right foot feels kinda heavy.
To be honest, I think that has been a wise move by Henk.
Lots of RSTuners are sold on here with the maps he created/modified e-mailed over and he gains no profit from these.
Judging by the way my mates 98RON mapped Cup now leaves me for dust, when beforehand we used to be neck-and-neck, I'd...
I'd stretch a little further and get the Pioneer DEH-8400BT.
I spent £180 on one of these from an ICE installer/retailer near me then a friend got one for about £150 online. 32 different colours for the display/buttons and the "Orange" makes it match the Clio's dash brilliantly.
Has SD card...
St3ve had some, I'll point him in the direction of this thread but not sure if he bought them brand new or 2nd hand.
EDIT: Apologies, thought you were just after the seats, should read things properly instead of skim reading!
It drops again when the fans kicks in. Initially just the thermostat will open and the coolant will cool the engine enough. I had to wait another 10-15mins for it to warm the coolant up for the fan to then need to kick in. Checked the levels again today and it was at 'Mini' so topped it up again.
I sorted my thermostat the other day and the car definitely feel smoother and gets upto temp nicely now.
When I was replacing my coolant I let it run upto temp, kept checking the pipe to feel when the coolant was let loose, then kept it sat some more until the fan kicked in, then replaced the...
Quick question,
Is getting a temporary cylinder one misfire (engine management light flashes) the starting signs of the crank position sensor going? Had this for a while and today its been difficult starting so I'm beginning to think it could be related. Engine will fire into life just to cut...
It's been said over a million times on here, but again, it's not worth taking an RS for a cambelt change to someone who isn't certain what they are doing.
Well, I was a little taken back by this..
Two of the PES's on my Clio are getting to the limit so going to have them replaced before winter really sets in.
Took them to my usual tyre guy and he informed me they haven't done bad for an 8 year old set of tyres. "%$&£ off!" was my reply... Then...
She used to date Cam, the mad bald ice skater... I know of her but don't know her.
Yeah, it definitely does, paints Blackpool in a bad light to be honest.
Not guilty no! A friend of mine played pool against some guy who looked like a smackhead that appeared on one of the first episodes though. Thats about as much of a claim to fame that I have.
Haha, you have been watching "999: Whats Your Emergency" then?
I'm not keen on de-icer, but I'm not keen on scraping the ice off for 5 minutes either so its either this or
This.
Seen Fords do it in 2 minutes flat. As you say, genius idea!
Just seen MarkR's media thread with a photo of his frozen Clio.
It got me wondering how long it takes for the 182's to de-ice the windscreen? This will be my first winter with the Clio.
Mine is running a decatted Milltek so not the noisiest of systems, but my neighbours tell me it is still...
IIRC I read (when Intellistart was first launched) that the car's alarm stays armed and the doors locked. Once you manage to access the car (via the fob or by breaking in) you need to put the key into the ignition & then do a sequence on the pedals to be able to drive away otherwise it cuts the...
As previously said be careful.
I had a 192BHP MK4 Golf before my 182 and I was massively surprised at how 'raw' the Clio is compared to it. Took me a fair few weeks to adjust to the Clio trying to rip the wheel out of my hands in 1st and 2nd gear.
Be gentle, and adjust to it gradually.
I used the Berkhamsted Castle postcode to find this: http://www.clifford.co.uk/Support/RetailerLocator.aspx?ZipCode=HP4
You need to get Intellistart! Tempted to have my Laserline Thatcham 1 ripped out to replace it with a Clifford with Intellistart! Handy in the winter to warm the car up!
To be honest, I saw National's work first hand on my old car and was shocked! If I broke down outside a National garage now I would rather push my Clio to the next garage than let them work on it!
