Thanks!
Thank you.
I'm adjusting to the power delivery now, still finding first gear a bit of a 'mare over 4,000RPM but generally take it easy in first to look after the gearbox. Between myself, Andy's fantastic customer service, and Scoff's mapping knowledge, we've identified a slight...
Definitely in!
Thanks for all the kind comments!
Andy - don't worry about the pipe it's a very minor thing. I'm over the moon with the car the work is A*
Cheers again mate!
Its great George, I really don't know how you keep hold of 280BHP because it took some time before I could let mine off it's leash properly!
I've a couple of little things to sort out on it....
-One of the boost pipes is rubbing on the bonnet so its taken a little bit of the paint off. I'm...
Wow!
Car is very quick over 4,000 RPM and gets so much attention due to the flutter! Difficult to drive at first but once I got used to the normal Clio characteristics it was so much fun on boost!
Andy was recommended for his great work and he has delivered again!
Thanks mate!
It's a big outlay in all honesty. I was toying with getting a Focus ST but was concerned I'd possibly buy someone else's problems. This car has only wanted a thermostat, I'd had the belts done by Fred, so I knew it was a tidy reliable example so just decided I needed a little more...
No buddy they were put in by Andy as part of the conversion. I wanted to make it a reliable and strong conversion hence the mounts and drivetrain parts.
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Got a hire car to tide me over mate, a Hyundai i30 1.6CDTi. Really gutless thing so the Clio will pull like a train when it's back!
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
It's like the countdown to Christmas just without the Advent Calender!!
Really missed the rawness of the car and with an extra 50BHP on tap it'll take some getting used to again!
I'm just by Harrowside shops so not far from you but I haven't seen your car about. Mines currently having a turbo conversion done so it's been absent lately, but its due back soon. Here's a pic of it:
Re: Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Yeah, the sensible side of me is glad it is a little lower than I hoped for, for reliability reasons. It's my daily after all.
Ade's Renaultsport 182 Project
Andy's just text me. The car is mapped now.
225.8BHP &207ft/lbs torque.
I was hoping it would break the 230bhp mark but I'm sure it'll still be fairly lively!
For the uprated pads I've used (M1144's and DS2500's) it's always been recommended to me to leave the shims out.
I had huge amounts of brake squeal when I ran the M1144's with the shims in.
