Haha, this is from ages ago but i've only just seen it now!!!!!
I was driving home from getting my rollcage welded in!! I remember a 200sx guy giving me a wave!!!
Looooong time ago!
Some Great looking cars!
I'm working in South Carolina for the rest of the year so hopefully there's something around here that i can go have a lookie at!
Re: AndyRG - Opps ive done it again!
Great colour! I thought you might have gone with this sort of colour as you've allready done the other nice Renault Colours!
I dont have a clue what the colour name of it though!
Possiably an Audi Grey?!
The car seems to be turning into a right rocket!!
I cant make it to Cadwell as i'm busy in Austria that weekend but i'll be back in the UK for all of August & September so Hopefully you have a race I can come too :)
Good Luck for next weekend!
Lots of ups and downs in this thread recently!!!!
It doesnt cost you anything to keep it in your garage! Just put it on axle stands until your ready to finish it.
Each to their own, but we are in simialr situations, I live in a different country to my car, you live miles away from yours...
Mark the cup racer's have their engine mounts attach to the subframe which iirc lowers the engine a little too.
I think Nick (your Nick) had that PDF thing of the cup race cars, in that i think it might show the race car engine mounts so you could maybe show Mik those picture and get him to...
It might just be worth building a new engine as that was your orgnial plan from the start wasnt it Mark! Dan from 519 Automotive built the burpspeed boys engine and that might be the type of spec that would be good for you!
Just instead of drip feeding engine mods just stick with your current...
Rev Counters weigh too much ;)
I'll set the shift light to come on at 7200rpm so i know i have a few more revs before i should change. Possiably could be a lot of Limiter hiting on my first trackday!
Yeah cheers guys, it's getting there!
The lights on the dash are indicators at the far sides. Alternator, shift light and I can't member what the other red light was for lol. The switches on the dash are,
Ecu
fuel pump overide for draing the tank
starter motor
Rain/fog light
And a few spares...
Finally I removed the locking mech from the boot, I will bet cutting this bracket out next time.
New areo catches
The point where the fixing stud goes
And then before I knew it I had to go and catch my flight!
Short but sweet.
After 10 pints I decided to do some retail theropy at probolt
So I used these with my new threaded rivit tool to attach my new central switch pannle
Measured, drilled and rivited.
And then attached my little switch pannle I made months ago. May not look amazing but it does the trick...
After 3 months and no clean the car was very dusty and the new garage lights made the car look bad
So rolled it just outside and gave it a wash
The plastic windows had stuff growing in them
So I took the apart and gave them a clean
All clean so back inside to go on axle stands for...
Bought some new track rod ends just to freashen up the steering
And also got my electrician cousin to come round and run electricity to the garage and put lights in.
So next job was to test fit my new studs and nut conversion just to make it easier to change the wheels.
Old very rusty...
I'm back!!!!
I had been promising updates for a little while but it appears to be quite difficult to get much done when living in a different country to where the car lives!
I'll have to drip feed the updates as the Internet where I live is a bit sh1t.
So cutting a long story short the car...
