Thanks for your responses guys, I meant to say I've not changed anything since dan touched it.
The car won't idle without stalling, I can keep it running if press the throttle but sounds like a Subaru and its a bit smokey out the exhaust.
The other problem I have is my laptops are in Germany...
This thread is to see what sort of Throttle position sensor is better for my car.
I started it yesterday and it was running perfectly but the fuel pipe was leaking so I drained the fuel system so I could fix the leak.
I filled up the tank again and started It and it running like a Subaru. Not...
Some cracking pictures mark!
If the wishbone and actual Lilly bush are ok just ring powerful ex and get another metal sleve! They gave me replacements for free.
The flywheel looks quality. You'll have to weigh it and the old one.
Thats a bit of a shame about the front bumper! Where do you...
Lol maybe, there is actually a Renault key in one of my parcels but it's not for the engine.
I'm hoping to fully finish it so the next time I come back to the Uk I can take it straight to a trackday.
We will see!
I'm gona be back in the Uk for Easter so I should have some goodies waiting for me at home.
So for anybody that can actually remember this car I should have an update soon :)
That video still makes me chuckle!
Deffently need the master cylinder and brake servo (and rear bias thing) as your foot will just hit the floor if you just use the same ABS servo with the 172cup master cylinder!
:)
Yeah I really like the car wrap. Looks like a proper race car now!
If the box is gona come off for the diff then perhaps a lightened flywheel could be purchased? Should help you get up to speed a little quicker and might help you chatch that cheeky Pug. Just a thought!
Great work so far!!
With the ABS removal are you just using the same master cylinder and brake servo?
I think it'l be a bit rear braking heavy if you do! Best it fit the 172cup brake set up with the rear bias valve from that car.
Car look brilliant Mark!!
You know what I mean now when I said racing a car is much better than racing a Kart!
When you say you thought the clutch was slipping was it not just the inside wheel not spinning? Clutch is pretty much brand new isnt it?
Diff will make another nice difference. I...
What a cracking quali!! Well done Mark!
Big shame about the start and spin but like you said you've just got to take them all as learning points.
Deffently keep the brake set up as it is for now, I made it that way because of what other actuall Clio race cars had. As you get more races under...
Hi Mark, shame you've now been bumped up a class. But adding 25kg isnt too bad I'm sure NMS will be able to set the car up just as well with the weight!
You must be soooooo excited about the race next week! Good luck I hope it's all goes well!
P.s is Johns race car ready too?
Hia big balls, is your car gona be finished by Augaust any time. As I'm Booking some trackdays in Augaust and wanted to know if you might be reay then?
I removed the pas on my 182, kept the standard rack too. It's really good, I,be driven the car on the road and on track and it's really good. All about personal preference tho, it's not for everyone!
Well as everything has been sorted I can now confess that the clio was driven on the road....but just for one day, and only for 1 mile max :(
Most epic mile I have driven in the last 18 + months tho :) Totally forgot how fast the car is and look forward to driving it again.
So the car is now...
I've had no PM's Chris
The cage is 38kg I think. I did quite a lot of looking around and i felt it was the best cage for the money and weight. Although I probably would have got some more tubing to make the door bars an X
Oh and for anybody who cares, the car should be doing a trackday in...
My Clio project is 99% finished! But at 99% finished I then bought another car, got a new job, bought a house (with a garage so things have been so busy I havnt really touched the car for months!
Wow £5600 is a shed load of money! I totally understand why you did it, with clios is difficult to do something that hasn't been done before!
Is the airfilter right behind the radiator on your set up?
