Thanks for the replies guys, got the hub off the morning after and the sensor almost fell out! Couple of light knocks from the inside with a socket extension and hammer.

I've removed the screw holding it, but how do I remove the abs sensor? It's quite firm in there and I've heard they're expensive and Fairly rare in good nick. Thanks

I've always just stuck a cutlery knife down each side, releases the catches then pull it out. There's probably hundreds of things you could use.

I can't get my rear view mirror back on after I knocked it off cleaning. The rain/light sensor is blocking the entry to the 'track' in the bracket. has anyone had this before? If I remove the rain sensor, will it go back on? Can take some pics if it helps.

That will come off with wet and dry

use plasty dip, then you can mask and just peel off any overspray. It's really durable and lasts ages.

Did you 1200 the paint before applying lacquer?

I'd go aluminium racing style, lighter and if you need to leave it under the car over night it won't go rusty. Just more pricey but you don't seem too concerned about that, will last years anyway.

I have one of these and it's awesome and still a novelty using it each time. Very low entry, extends fast and high. Light weight for what it is. The big rubber plate is nice for finding lifting spots too. Here's a cheaper smaller one for budget sake.

I'm refurbing a wheel with some light kerbing in one place. Its just one wheel so I don't want to go mad spending on paints. Does etching primer have any filling properties or do I need to get a filler primer too? I'm going to sand the kerbing down and see how obvious the pit is after, but is...

Machine mart do a aluminium low entry 1.25t jack, very good quality. I've just upgraded to the 1.8t version

Get 5L of G101 off eBay, use it at different strengths and it will clean anything. I'm not sure in terms of protection.

I wouldn't tint, generally looks crap. If you do then get the lightest they offer and get it done properly as DIY tinting rarely works out.

Yeh it's knackered, the inner bit just pulls out with plenty of persuasion in anyone searches for this in future.

The main cap comes off but it leaves the cap internals in the tank. Do these pull out or twist out?
