Will watch this project, last one started out well - shame to hear it didn’t end that way.
But chin up, this one will be a bit better. Already is if a pms shifter is on the way
I’ve been keeping up to date with this thread, and I (along with everyone else) just hope that the next post is positive. Glad things are looking up for you. Look forward to the updates with pictures of custom/special parts, & and the hidden details (like neatly wrapped wiring looms etc) within...
There made from non CDS tube, so they won’t pass scrutineering. They are made using seamed tube, which is weaker than seamless (CDS) tube.
I have the aforementioned cage and it’s fine, fits well. I occasionally do trackdays. If the car got a more serious track toy then I’d upgrade to a better cage.
Just waded through all 8 pages in one sitting. You sir, work hard. Hats off, well done for keeping on track towards your end goal!
Shame you had so many issues though

I don't mind the early start, means I don't have to put up with the clowns coming through Bradford that see a rollcage and think every set of lights is a race in their lease cars :unamused:
Good work. The braided lines look like they're touching the bottle, could you not put some rubber around them to stop the possibility of rubbing a hole in he bottle?
@Stuiemc i used the square ones, the one under the exhaust tunnel needed a small amount cutting off the corner. then gave them a good covering of underseal once bolted up
I will apologise, I've just spent an hour or so messing around in the garage with the Clio and didn't take pictures as said. However, the ring is where I drilled, outer eyebolt in the seatbelt guides hole. (Marked in up RB for you though! Ha)
I got my eyebolts and spreader plates from jjc race...
I will get pictures of where I put mine. But behind the rear of the handbrake the tunnel has a flat spot, drill it and put a spreader plate on the underside. Fit another eye bolt there, might need someone to stop it spinning around as you tighten it (unless you can wedge it with a bar or...
