Not a matter of affordability, I know which I would want and I work at a main dealership selling both Fords and Renaults and have driven numerous examples of the ST. It's a nice car, but like most modern things, it's not involving enough (for me). As has been mentioned, could of at least used a...
It's old school - it goes from the dizzy to the coil on some vehicles, I should have really known the R53 doesn't have one - I used to own one, it's been a long day lol.
As has been said, I'd of said it's a scam. I never use gumtree anymore to sell (or buy, too often full of idiots and badly written adverts). You did the right thing though calling their bluff, either that or they're waiting for the King/Queen scammer to arrive to put on their best British accent...
If you can afford to get genuine, then get the genuine ones or some Magnecor aftermarket ones, if money is tight as its christmas then just replace the damaged one if you want genuine or for a bit more get non genuine. If it's a R53 then chances are it's got a fair few non genuine parts fitted...
Genuine parts I'm guessing? Just get a decent set of Bosch ones from GSF or Euro using the discount codes and get a full set, if ones broken the others are of the same age and condition so likely to go in near future, so for the sake of the cost I'd replace all of them.
The upcoming meets and other local events such as a moors run, are up on our Facebook page now, just search Rensport
Would be good to see a few more of you guys there if you can make it...
It's clean... but it's not 100% and isn't a dedicated track car so don't worry it's not a showroom example going to get abuse. It's been neglected previously (as in parked up and not used much) judging by the amount of sludge/green mildew that was in all the cracks and gaps on the bodywork. All...
If you've replaced the usual stuff, check your lambda... On cold map it will be putting more fuel through, but once it's warmed up then it will switch to the normal map and may be reading wrongly, telling the ECU wrong information. You may need to book it onto a rolling road so they can test the...
Going to change the steering wheel for a smaller omp one I think, buckets, cage and just enjoy it really Had a few "show" and "stanced" cars so will be nice to have a car I can just drive and not worry too much about it being too low or anything.
The spacers are being returned as the hub was...
My hub centric spacers arrived today, sadly I forgot to take any photos of anything but they are on (albeit not as easily as they should have) - previous owner had the wheels refurbed recently and the centre bore hole was actually smaller than 60.1 due to the thickness of paint. This is probably...
Nothing too major, wing has a small crack down the bottom, skirt I replaced and a few other bits, bumper needs refitting to sit 100% but for now can stay pushed back in place, it's not going anywhere lol. Also ordered discs as when it came down on the road it chewed up the drivers disc.
It was...
