Is 15.5 a good time for a clio up the strip? You manage to compare with other clios?
Would be tempted to do the crail track day, have heard a few horror story's about it but just as a once off.
I have been going round Knockhill and seen a standard 1.2 clio in action, awful slow and spun easy (skinny tyres and wet) but the boy driving was loving it by the looks. Also seen a Seat Arosa going for it on track Along with a 1ltr turbo thing, new fiat 500. :car:
Tyre pressures are a bit high for the track, I run 26psi cold and by the time I'm done I can be back up at 32psi. Always drop back done to 26 before going back out.
Should make you thread about bargain buys mate and build some machine out it from scrappy parts or something. Free bits being donated n that. All on the super cheap.
End up with a Volvo powered turbo track slag :stig:... Or something 😂
I could record probs 45-50mins soild on it but it claims it can do 70mins. Comes with Usb charger that you could use in the car. Can take upto 32gb memory card. Ideal for track days I think. Gopro are the best but if your only using it for the odd Knockhill maybe not worth it.
I think it's a easier track in reverse, I don't mind it tbh. I like it for mixing it up alittle.
I know I noticed that myself abit after watching think its the wheel aswell, it's tiny so I'm over it.
First Trackday done of 2015 and the car ran great!
no issues, no problems... I'm shocked ha!
was a reverse day and weather was good...i did miss my first session while still signing up but hey, few video's to watch on my new go-pro like cam :grinning:
happy with the way the car is...
I run for 5.1 fluid. No even the dearest of stuff, gulf from opie oils like a tenner. Standard brembo disks and Mintex racing pads up front standard on back. Works well I think I brake quite late, over took that type R going into the hairpin in the last video.
It all depends tbh.. I was in group one and it was all pretty decent driving I seen. Usually the guys with high power tend to be a bit nuts, Almost bully like. Group two is a trackcar group and the trackcar guys tend to be a bit more bold and have a don't care attitude. Group one I go in always...
