Well due update time!
after being in at rentec for over a month, finally got the car back yesterday! Happy to have it back and drove great all the way home.
So after a few repairs such as , new timing belt, alternator, replaced dephaser and aircon removed, along with a couple other repairs as...
everything tells me to go for the valeo one, especially after the list of things I've done to the car lately. Was more out of curiosity as to why the difference, and sometimes it goes in your favor.
looking to put a new clutch on my clio, so going for standard but been price hunting and if you go to ktec they will sell you a Valeo at about £170
the same Valeo can be bought of ebay for about £100
but there is also LUX @£90
and Transmech @ £57
why such a difference in price, and is this...
Yeah was looking at your cup belt setup as I'm getting the aircon removed. I don't know if you had a look about mine it's no show winner but decent enough. but I'm now considering going full track car with it, still road legal just now. Not going far off running it standard performance wise...
Gutted I missed out on that weekend, best weather we've has so far. Should have mine back this weekend if going to plan! 18th is a ford rs / hot hatch day im sure.
I left a drum of fuel once next to the helmet shop after asking. No issues but could always leave with someone's van or trailer in carpark.
Am am not getting the car back in time so another for me. Might pop up and watch mind you.
The bad luck seems to be continuing right now... On route to rentec the clio dies on me 2miles away!!
battery light came on and then airbag and handbrake and abs and in fact all ....
So let's see where this takes us...
I have put a Sparco wheel on and this has brought up the abs traction control and serv light.... I have had the wheel of a number of times and at one point I got the abs light to stay out....
I then returned, so I replaced the squid and I can now get it to turn all lights off until to move... I...

I hav'nt done an open pit night, only hot hatch days that get turned into one due to numbers so cant really compare, but I get the impression its more die hards, with Big toys that do them, so not as fun moving out the way of them all the time in the clio.. hot hatch days you are grouped in with...
As a rough guide, if your close to a minute your doing a good decent lap. Hard as you might hit traffic or held up on corners so not really for timing, just go out n have fun, try and pass your mate then brag to him once your back in the pits... Or is that just me that does that haha :)
Same here, all be it I don't use but is my only car. Take it up, take it easy, find out what you and the car can do then come back next time with improvements.
