I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I require a rear large boot matt, which I'll keep an eye out for and I have a set of bucket seats I'm picking up this weekend.
So all I require now is a set of harnesses and then I'm done (althought I may order a PMS shifter kit)!
There is a large part...
CAGE FITTED
As detailed above the cage arrived from Safety Devices a few days before I went on Holiday which was a pain, mainly because I couldn't fit both the cage and car in the garage, therefore some extreme measures were required!
How I left it!
I'll be honest I was worried while I...
Another question can you retain the headlining, carpet & interior trim with the safety devices roll cage?
I appreciate I the carpet will need to be removed/pulled back for fitting however I wish to retain as much of the interior as possible.
Thanks.
Tom
Cheers @RyG I may take you up on that. I have a welder lined up but it'll be good to look at yours before we battle with mine! I go on holiday on Thursday but will drop you a PM when I get back if thats ok.
That cage looks great. I wonder who go the black one?!
Perfect. I just need to work out a way to get both the car and roll cage across to your guys!
I'm on holiday from Thursday but I'll drop you a text when I get home if that's @Scrooge to hopefully arrange a date.
Cheers @Phase1sr
I'll contact both, fingers crossed they can match the damaged wheel and then I can get the cage etc all painted once I've damaged the rest!!
I did think that was the case however there are very limited instructions provided so hard to work out for a idiot like me! I didn't know if welding could be avoided? Assuming welding is required does Steve (I think that was his name!) weld on cars?!
If so I may be over again one day!
I have had a few people, including @Dr Jekyll recommend Lepsons in Kent to do my 2118's however I don't believe they can do the cage, but I imagine any body shop should be ale to do this as long as I can provide the paint code.
Good Afternoon All,
I've recently purchased a rear Safety Devices cage for my Clio 182 however I'm after a little help regarding fitting.
Below is a picture of the cage and fitting plates however I'm after a little help/guidance on fitting:

June 2017 - Update
Since having the coilovers fitted I desperately required spacers to give some clearance between the tyre & coilover. A number of people recommended the H&R items so they purchased from ECP's.
Fitting them wasn't as easy as anticipated! When we put the 2118's on the car the...
Hard to tell as I took it very easy going home as I was very conscious of how close the tyre was to the coilover, however compare to my initial set up it feel much better already. More stable, slightly firmer ride but the turn in is amazingly different, feels fantastic.
I've order H&R 20mm...
Had a very productive weekend thanks to @Scrooge!
Pics as requested @MrBlonde
I have H&R 20mm spacers on order for the fronts and due to the colour of the wheels I now need to paint my brakes calipers as I think the silver looks like there is too much colour going on so I'll give them a...
So this weekend has been good!
At short notice @Scrooge was able to fit my Coilovers for me and I'm pleased as punch with the results. I'll let the pics do the talking, although I wish in hindsight I took more pics, I blame the lack of pics on the good company!
A gave the Clio a quick wash...
He did breakdown at paddock hill bend, the belt fell off, a little coolant came out however I don't believe any oil was leaked on track.
Will be good to see if you caught any of them on camera.
I popped to Brands last night as a few friends were on track.
The car certainly goes well. I meant to have have a walk over however the night went very quick.
Good Afternoon All,
I've recently purchased a set of GAZ Coilovers for my Clio 182 Cup and as I'm struggling with time to get them fitted therefore I'm looking at getting prices to fit them.
I've contacted both Engine Dynamics and Mark Fish and currently awaiting on prices however I wanted to...
When you said you were painting the calipers blue, I wasn't sure tbh, but seeing the final results I think it looks really good.
I also really like the colour of dash inserts & bezel, they freshen up the inside nicely.
As the some of you may be aware The Hare's breakfast meet location is being moved for the June meet to the other outlet, The Castle in Great Leighs.
Meet is on Saturday 3rd June 2017 and officially begin at 9am however having never visited this pub I have no idea what parking will be like.
Not a massive update more a collection of parts!
Firstly I wasn't happy with the matt black interior panels so I have repainted them in Iceberg Silver:
Sanded them down and gave them a lick of primer:
Then got the paint ready:
After a few coats of paint and sanding it back I gave it a...
Good luck on Thursday, fingers crossed its an easy fix.
I look forward to the updated pics of the dash strips, I've got to re-paint mine at some point as I have the same issue as you with mine being too dark.
Unfortunately not :rage:
Saturday afternoon turned into me working until around 9pm and then on Sunday I was working until around midday so the last thing I wanted to do was work on the car!
However this weekend coming I hope to get it all fitted, fingers crossed!
Tom
