Due to the bad weather my cover on the RB had got ripped so took the opportunity to remove it read to fit the new one
I took the opportunity while the cover was off to do a little work on the shell. I started by removing the remaining redundant plastic trim to give access to the rear wiring...
I love a bit of AutoCAD
I've really enjoyed the whole process of this little adventure. Don't be surprised if you see some more choice items on @NorthloopCup 's thread or mine
Unfortunately buddy it isn't straight forward as I'm sure you think it is, they are not PDFs. I have a genuine Renault wiring diagrams book, there are multiple drawings for all the different circuits so time consuming to find the right one. Then I have to scan it etc and unfortunately the only...
Up to today, I spent 1/2 hour in the garage this evening, trying to do the last few little bits to get the engine into a position to come out.
I removed the gearbox selector to shifter coupling and the dogbone. I also found out why there is a difference between ph1 & ph2 dogbones. Which is a...
Well thought I better update my thread, I have done a bit here an there with the Sunflower strip. But not lots due to work and lack of enthusiasm.
So got the 172 hubs I used to move the RB back off. I cleaned them up and then painted them ready to send to @NorthloopCup
I also got some new...
@NorthloopCup and I have spent a lot of time measuring and working out a solution. This was using the 182 rear setup, a Twingo rear setup and some engineering drawings of both rear discs. I spent a lot of time drawing things up on CAD, looking at ensuring the rear wheel stayed in the same...
@Kenny.s I'm really gutted for you mate :pensive: I really wish you could finish this. Is there anyway you could hang onto it? I'm sure you'll kick yourself if you let it go. All the best with your sale buddy
For those who are interested a few more pictures of the 3D printed mock up of the rear setup @NorthloopCup and I have been working on
Fits nicely on the spare rear beam I have. Just need to spend some time with Mark now to double/triple check everything now we have the extremely accurate...
Well the high level light comes from the exact same supply as the passenger rear so its possibly a connection issue. Have you used a multi meter on the plug that meets up with each lighting unit?
Those plugs do have a tendency to be a bit dodgy. Also the rear sockets tend to be a bit dodgy also
Well popped in to Mark's this afternoon as I was down his way. All I can says it's even more exciting seeing it in the flesh than the pictures :tongueclosed:
Got to see the wiring p**n with my own eyes, nice job buddy
Can't wait for him to get it finished now
Having seen it...
Interesting Mark, been thinking about this one for a while!! Another one for after its running though!! Just text you and then realised your still on holiday!!
Blatant plugging your own products!!!
Did the weight test when I got home and yes quite clearly your FG bonnet is lighter than the PH1 alloy bonnet
Well quick update
Went for a walk up Whernside in the dales yesterday so though it would be rude not to pop into @16xe_chris (CM Composites) to pick up one of his fibreglass bonnets as I'm missing a bonnet. I also picked up one of his super light fibreglass Cup spoilers to go with my fibreglass...
