Seems to be quite a bit of stock for 13" touchbar models available to pickup in store today.
My 15" shipped sometime overnight, current estimated delivery is a week today.
Yeah, pretty much all this.
It's quite funny on the mac rumours forum with people wondering how anybody could possibly buy one with 256GB of storage, but people just cart around large amounts of redundant data, I have a f**k off synology because that supports my storage needs and archiving much...
It's not the only laptop that has only USB c, I believe HP have some as well.
USB C is appearing on a lot of phones now, it supports power delivery (there is no charger socket on the MBP now, you just plug the charger into whichever USB c socket you want.
Any devices which you have that have a...
It's got usb c, the connector has all sorts of interfaces on it (thunderbolt, usb, display port etc).
You can use standard USB peripherals but you will need an adaptor to change between USB c and usb a.
What MacBook Pro would you be after? Touchbar or non touchbar? Is she going to be using it in just one place?
There's always the ultrafine 5k display.....
The macrumors forums are absolutely f**king hilarious.
Essentially it all boils down to the fact that people can't afford them and they're whining like f**k giving all the excuses under the sun as to why Apple have totally got it wrong - apart from it being the most successful launch of their...
Ahh soz, get you now! The one before mine as well I believe exited straight out as well, yeah, pretty dumb decision - there was probably a 5 minute video with jony Ive talking about how it revolutionary comes straight out! If I have to hear another f**king Ive voiceover I'm gonna crack...
Except that the cable is separate from the charger on USB C as opposed to being part of the charger on MagSafe, so no spending 70 odd quid on a complete charger when the cable inevitable breaks, 17 quid for an Apple one. Half the issue I have is that my power outlet is on the other side of the...
Finally! Been waiting for this since f**king march.
My MagSafe PSU only needs to hold on another 3 or 4 weeks now! (I think it's the third one I've been through)
I bought the simpeak space grey one and it's a very good match for the space grey watch.
£12!
I've tried the Milanese on in the Apple Store and I can't tell any difference apart from the £12 one actually matching the colour of the watch.
It will if you happen to be in a 4G area (at least on EE)....but then again if your signal is crap and you're relying on wifi calling it then you probably won't have a 4G signal anyway! Lol
My phone goes in my front left because I'm a right hander (although one of those weird ones that wears their watch on their right arm and also eats with the fork in the right hand) and I'm guessing the theory behind that is that I'm more likely to use my right hand to pay for stuff, so when I...
I agree, but it's inevitable that you'll get some scratches/marks no matter how small - "micro abrasions" as apple seem to like calling them hence my original comment!
Only takes the tiniest speck of grit in your pocket to mark the surface. Also reading the apple forums the screen itself on...
Stick it in your pocket with some coins and some keys and wander around with it for a hour.
If the thought of doing that leaves you with fear that it'll end up scratched then don't take it out of the case.
f**king autocorrect.....
It won't come through on the watch you'll only get the notification if the phone is in standby.
it's because in the case of whatsapp the watch is just mirroring what's on the phone.
If you are using your phone and you get a WhatsApp notification then it won't some through on the watch, you,lol only get the notification if the phone is in standby.
Get a bit of grit in between the case and the phone and it'll scratch. I originally ordered 2 JB but changed them for the Matt black after seeing photos of them and seeing them in store. (Covered in those "microabrasions").
I suspect that the resale price next year on the Jet blacks from this...
+1
I'm really impressed with the battery life, I was expecting it (from what I'd read about the previous version) to barely last a day, I don't think I've seen it go below 80% yet.
Hugely important feature for me is that Medisafe have an app which works with the phone, I'm so f**king busy...
Pretty much all the straps are a total rip. If you're after a decent leather strap then look to etsy as there are loads of hand crafted ones with very good reviews for a fraction of the price.
Apple can obviously do what they want and they more than likely don't give a f**k how expensive they...
Even with the small phones I always used them two handed because it's just easier and quicker to do stuff, then again I do have stupidly long fingers so the smaller devices I actually had trouble holding comfortably anyway.
I haven't tried the camera yet!
I'll also admit, I thought the watch...
Yeah, decided to come back.
iOS 6 was utter garbage and part of the reason I moved and the other reason (and main one) was apples insistence that people didn't want bigger phones.....
Roll forward to now, Scott Forstall was fired (yay!) and they make big phones.....and FINALLY you can delete...
The App Store is buggy as hell, do some searches for stuff and come in and out of it and it starts over drawing the status bar and you can't scroll through stuff.
So was mine, I didn't notice originally because I wasn't paying much attention, but yesterday I realised that there was something terribly wrong with it. It kept losing the network and if you were in the about menu it would keep showing no sim, utterly impossible to use as a phone. Tried an EE...
