Update:
Got the xenon's fitted, bullets, shark fin style aerial and some fog tint.
The tint might not be to everyone's taste but I think it goes well with the wheels :)

Just to clear the air;
-my old man works in a wood factory, so we built the booth frame out of wood and polythene.
-my uncle works at a paint suppliers, so we got it dirt cheap. We used 2k to keep to costs down as I didn't want to go mad on a 1.2.

Edit: I then used clear silicone to re-seal it. Been two really wet nights since and not a drop inside.
No, I collected them.
I knew they where in that condition (edit: once travelling to collect them). I just used my old mounts :)
I've never quite understood that theory though, surely they take rougher shocks on the road with our potholes and speed humps than wrapped in bubble wrap in the back...
Small update...
I got a set of xenons :)
The inside white mounts where broke so I had to take them and my old ones apart and use my old mounts :headbang: I hate dishonest sellers!
You can see the chrome around the projector had dropped.
I couldn't find a thread that discuses this, so I decided to make one.
I'm a little bit of a lighting freak and I just love cut-off lines :D
Ive recently built a 172 replica and I'm now looking at buying a set of rs xenon headlights.
Has anyone got any pictures of their xenon cut-off lines...
I've been taught to take it easy on a cold engine.
As long as the engine has been looked after (oil, belts, coolant...) and has warmed up 4-5k revs shouldn't do any harm, the engine has a rev limiter for a reason and that's set well below the tolerances.

There's nothing worse than an ignorant tw*t with hids in reflector housings :rolleyes:
Regarding the headlight restoration, I used fine sand papers and that worked a treat and was much cheaper :)
