My advice would be to look at a lot more cars further afield, compare condition, miles and price and then you'll get a better feel for the market and what you'd expect to get for what money. I looked at about 30 before I got mine, and in the end I went for low miles and good condition for a...
Gutted, but surely with only 300 miles on it you'll get a new one as replacement?
She needs a good slap in the insurance premium ;)
White cars in winter FTL though :D
Sounds like the easiest option.

Tigger - let's close this thread and start a new one with the quotes from APD (stan*) and Jam-sport.
Then people can decide which they want to go for. Presumably there's no reason why we can't have one list for each supplier.
Could do with a quote for driving in and having them fitted too...
Do you need a special tool to get the stereo out?
Alternatively, am I likely to cause any problems by just pulling the hazard panel and disconnecting the other two switches?
Haven't got enough space to get behind the hazard switch, but might be able to disconnect the door lock switch first....
So my hazard switch is knackered.....takes ages to turn 'em off. Have a replacement switch and I've got as far as levering the panel away from the facia but, whilst it comes away freely at the glovebox end (door lock switch), it won't pull out on the steering wheel side. It's free from the...
^LOL
I guess it needs someone to compare quotes from APD, Jam-sport and AWT (if Ben's interested in doing it), and those interested need to take an opinion on which they company they want to go with.
It's needs someone to co-ordinate it though - I ain't gonna be around often enough to do that job.
You shouldn't be able to do that - it only locks itself if you unlock it and don't open any doors for ~30secs. Once you open a door, it stays [should...] unlocked.
There is just no need. Standard bulbs are fine.
Waste of your money, waste of other people's angst, and waste of two minutes of my life reading this sh1te!
So is the whole issue of mods/premiums very insurer-specific?
I started the year with Privilege as the were cheapest for a standard car, but I'm looking at doing things like matched inlets & RS Tuner in the new year.......
I've just been reading a thread from earlier in the year about declaring mods etc, and obviously the advice is to tell them about everything. But which mods are likely to add to your premium and which are generally accepted as just non-standard replacements? eg:
- lowed suspension?
- SS...
