The RS ones look like this - you have to remove the fuel rail cover first to see
Interesting to see that you didn't get any noticeable gain Gstar..... I also have an RS inlet on a 172 (53) so will be monitoring a bit more feedback before I commit to this....
Is this possible for drive in/fitting, ie your own inlets machined while-u-wait, or will you always get exchange units fitted to save time?
Getting tempted by this for £185 fitted all in.
I thought you were meant to disconnect a car battery from the car before attaching a charger to it. Is this perfectly safe?
Do you literally just clamp the charger onto the battery in situ?
There is still some movement, particularly sideways. In any case, before I replaced the exhaust the old rear mount was completely shagged as they all usually are after about 10 mins of being on the car, and then the exhaust just sits on the metal bracket with no suspension on it at all.
I...
Just thought I'd post up this afternoon's handywork...... Like most, my K-tec Stealth wasn't particularly stealthy once fitted, despite having a new rear mount installed.
I'd seen people on here pack the mount with old sockets, but since I still need all my sockets(!) I bought a pack of 4...
Mine's a '53' plate (Sept 2003) and it has ESP as standard and the clear side repeaters, but no CD Changer (I think that was dropped to the options list at the time of the revisions) and no cruise control, so that must have been an option too.
You probably wouldn't notice the ESP button on...
I'd decided to go for RST but since the discount didn't amount to much, I'm contemplating inlets....... but then the wife has just booked for us to go to Paris for a few days so it might be neither for this month! lol :S
oh, and my heater's just packed up.... :(
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Well there you go, you lose on this, you save on the VX, job's a good 'un.
And you always lose the dealer's mark up as soon as you drive away, and that will have been 1k+ on that.
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
 I paid that at the same time for my '53' with 36k, and that wasn't particularly cheap, but I paid it cos it was in such good nick!
53k might be low mileage for the year, but it's not particularly low mileage per se.
Crap time to be selling tbh, do...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
'51' plates were about that 15 months ago when I bought mine I'm afraid, and the economic downturn since then has obviously made values drop significantly. Plus it's not standard which limits your customer base still further, so I'd have to agree with Fubar :(
Yeah, cool did it in the dark last night to have a poke around once I'd realised the plastic screw was a plug and not a screw......
Will be undertaking further testing / hitting with a hammer in daylight tomorrow.......
