A 'no insurance ticket' is 200 quid fine 6 points. If you're in your first 2 years driving thats bad news. They shouldnt let you drive away without insurance, its normal to seize the car under S165/ make your dad come and collect it from where it is.

No mot = no mot, it doesnt automatically invalidate your insurance. Most likely situation is that it would reduce insurance to 3rd party, but that would be a matter bewteen yourselves and the insurance company, wouldnt put you in trouble with the law for insurance offences.

By far the best tyres ive tried for fast road use, and ive tried a fair few. Soooo much grip, seem to score top marks in tyre tests too.
In september you want tyres that will be decent in the wet as well as the dry!

Suzuki air box, Gaz coil overs, stainless steel exhaust, strut brace, suzuki sport alloy pedals, suzuki sport gear knob and 16 inch rotas.
Ask to swap these bits, do the work and take 100 quid for his troubles. He gets standard parts out of it, you get the mods that he'll get no extra for...
For cheap mats, Asda. 4quid for carpet mats and theyre pretty good!
Otherwise genuine Renault ones from Wests.
Justmatz are awesome, but by no means cheap.
