Done mine a few weeks, ago, well worth it, easy to do as well, I was worried about messing with the ECU, just make sure you back it up before you re-write it just in case, also another good thing to remember is, if you haven't got a really strong battery on the car, attach a battery charger, you...
Strange thing is, the colouring doesn't look too bad if its been running really lean, I would expect them to be a lot lighter looking? like really grey?
Been out around the Preston Area on my bike many many times, run up the A6 towards Devils bridge is decent once you get past Lancaster, just watch out for the pumpkins posing as policeman

How did the tuner come with a map? the map is file from your computer? isn't the tuner just a box that links the pc to the car to allow it download?
When I bought my tuner, I had to buy an unlock code and a map.....

Go on youtube and have a look at some of the vids of 1*2 going round the ring in Germany, it really isn't about straight line performance, there will always be someone quicker down the straight, well most of the time, but look at the way they catch M3's and 335D through the twisty bits, I think...
I assume so, bit technical for me, but I wouldn't think the standard ECU could hold 2 programmes, but I am not really sure, just be nice to have the choice for a bit of fun....

I can't see it having to be remapped, as the engine will only suck in as much air as it needs, mine had a piper cross induction kit and exhaust, and was fine, better now I have give it the RS tuner treatment though.....

I looked at this when I remapped mine a few weeks ago, I was sort of tempted, but decided on just the Ron98 map, I am really pleased, in an ideal world it would be lovely to be able to switch between the 2 maps at the touch of a button, be fun to have the pop map every now and again without...

Did mine a couple of weeks ago, I was nervous about re-writing the ECU software, but it gives you the option to back it up, took about 10 mins to do both, job done, car pulls so much better low down, being honest it idles better, but mine seems to take a coupe of seconds to settle down to idle...
Sorry guys, I am not knocking anyone for doing it, I spent 5k on a family holiday this year, so I can see where you are coming from, you must have an understanding family, if I said to my little lad and the missus, we aren't going away this year cause I want to spend 5k on the car I would be...
I have got a Piper Exhaust on mine, sound really good, not too load, quite deep, and sounds really good when on it, looks good too, mind you I have a Piper induction kit as well....

I really appreciate the theory of running round in a 182 with 250+bhp, but surely it make more sense to look at a RS Megane or something else that already has a turbo fitted, for the cost of a turbo and what the clio is worth you are into decent Mazda 3 MPS territory?
I really do understand its...
Just put the 98ron map on mine, altho I was nervous updating the ECU software, its pretty simple, and I would recommend it, well well worth the money...

I have got a piper cross induction kit and cat back exhaust on mine, sounds quite nice, not too loud unless you give it the beans, I have also just bought and RS tuner and loaded the Ron98 map on the car, makes a good difference, better tickover (once it settles down) and it also pulls a lot...
I am not really looking to have a big sub in the boot, I am probably a bit older than the average Clio driver on here...lol, don't they do any half decent speakers that swap out?
Cheers

I am interested in this thread, I have a Sony head unit in my 182, even thought it has a graphic equalizer, I can't seem to get any bass through the speakers, I am not looking to have the windows shaking, just looking for a bit of decent sound out the speakers...
