I've used them a few times now for various vehicles and never had an issue, put a pair on a heavily lowered bora a couple of years ago and it's still running fine
I've seen the contacts in the wiring plug be at fault before, they've shown a good 12v feed but no power was getting to the pump at times, cut off a plug from a donor car and connected it up, had no issues once I'd changed the plug
Forgot to say, my alarm was piggybacked into the original loom, but it was an aftermarket cobra alarm so that may make a difference, anyway I stripped it out and cut back to the points where it joined the loom with no issues at all
I've been waiting to see what's going to happen about this also, don't like the idea of having the harnesses so low. Think I'll drop Daniel/SD a message and see
Superb progress mate, very jealous of your little unit :)
No reason why you couldn't use a pot spec washer bottle with just the one pump, these pumps are different to sport ones so make sure you get one with a pump attached.
I'd hazard a guess the wiring on the left of your hand would be for...
No just the bulb holder as previously mentioned, as said before check for power supply to the bulb, the connections that hold the bulb in place also act as the earthing g for the bulbs too so if these are corroded or damaged you'll have issues with the bulb working. If in doubt you could always
To be fair, it's a 1.2, you're never going to see any real improvements no matter what you do (and I genuinely mean that in the nicest possible way).
Keep it well serviced and make sure the suspension/brakes are in good working order, and enjoy it would be my recommendation.
I bought the...
Possibly but I couldn't say for sure, I know my stop light works as it came on when my alternator blew, may just put it down to being French, seems to explain most things ;)
Daft question but is it missing the cover/heatshield ?
I've seen it mentioned previously that they're heat sensitive, and to be fair since I lost the one off mine the starter has gotten more and more problematic when starting
I'm not sure for certain about the relay, what i do know though is that you'll need both the drivers side window switch (for pass window) and the passenger side switch to be working for the window to work.
I found it easiest to test for 12v power first, and see how far it's getting. If you...
I just cut mine out, although I went back to the multi plug at the bottom of the passenger side a pillar and removed from there, you could follow them back to the uch/fuse box if you wanted as well

Looks about right, should have a sleeved spacer under the bearing assembly and then the securing nut with a built in sleeved spacer which slide in place between the shock piston and the top mount bearing
Sounds like its most likely the contacts breaking up in the switches from my previous experiences, obviously there is a chance its something more serious but I like to start with the easier/cheaper fixes first
Before you go spending out on ecu's and uch's @walkerstar how much testing/diagnosing have you done on the window circuit?? You've said there's power to the switch, is there power coming out of the switch to the motor?
The passenger side window circuit is quite complex in that it needs both...
That would depend on whether it's the left side 'dragging' which to be fair you'd probably feel (may even have discoloured disc if it's got really hot at some point, or glazed pads) or it could be the right side caliper not working properly, either would result in the same outcome of the car...
Yeah I know those problems, my mrs had an old mk2 dci and the radio signal in that was fantastic, cue the upgrade to a mk3 Tce and guess what, crap radio. Doesn't matter that this car actually starts and drives lovely, it's all about whether she can listen to whatever radio station she happens...
I've no idea on the internal workings of the abs pump I'm afraid mate, I would suggest trying a pressure type bleeding system such as the gunson eezibleed I mentioned earlier as these will push fluid through the system.
